Things Just Happen

This is a rant book, where I can just put on issues that I come across day by day, which'll help me, but hopefully you too :) x

20. Books

It's been a long time since I've finished the GONE series by Michael Grant - heck, I bought the last book on the day it came out. I was lucky then, because I bought it from WHSmith, and they were selling the foiled edition for half price as well, so why not buy it?

Anyways, the point is I am trying to promote this book. Not enough people are reading this series because they have never heard of it, but now you have. Go read it. It is one of the best series I have ever read. Superpowers, no adults, death and disaster - you cannot say no to a book where the kids are the superheroes. It's sad at times, but it just kinda grips you, it's not too gory but it's not too soft either. It's hard to describe it - just read it!

The Mazerunner - I can't remember the author's name, but it is so good. It's also the only teen fiction book I've come across where there is no kissing or making out. No joke. That just makes the book even better, but the main reason why I like this book is because it's so fast-paced. It's quite thin compared to books like Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (just sayin', that one's my fave in the whole series) but it's so fast-paced that it doesn't feel short - it swallows you up and you are one of the people in the book. You feel what those people are feeling. I swear, I cringed several times, screamed at least twice and almost fell off my bed once. Yep. That's how intensely I felt that book. Is that bad? Meh. It's done now. I just can't wait to get onto the Scorch Trials.

I'm not going to talk about THG and Divergent - everyone knows that they are amazing!

There's one book I remember reading and wanting to write about just ten minutes ago, so I might publish another chapter later on a few more if it comes back to me. That's all for now though - I just wanted to put these books out there, because they are such amazing books and not many people have heard of them. They need more readers. Also, if you're looking for good books to read, look up HarperTeen in google - they have previews of a lot of books so you can have a look at the beginnings to see if you want to read that book or not. I think there's previews of each of the books in the GONE series, so you may want to look and see if it's you're type of book before you buy it/ borrow it from the library.

Keep being amazing, you know you are!

Vach xx
