21. Family?

Samantha's POV:

I groaned as I reached the front down to the house. I can't believe I actually ran out of the house without my bag. It's Luke's fault! Why did he have to do that! Maybe it was payback for what I did last night, but I couldn't stop myself. Something just told me to do it.

"Why?" I heard James and Luke ask at the same time. I crept over to the window and bent down to eavesdrop.

"Because her mother had an affair on her husband at the time. She tried to cover it up by giving Sam away when she was born. The funny thing is that she gave Sam to her best friend." Selena said.

"Wait how did she hide the fact that she was pregnant from Kevin?" James questioned.

"Simple, he was overseas doing some kind of work."

"So let me get this straight." Luke muttered. "Sam is adopted. Her biological mother gave her up because she cheated on her husband? Do you realize how stupid that sounds?"

"Well I guess her mother died about ten years ago, and she left a note telling Kevin what she had done, and about Sam." Selena continued ignoring Luke's side comments.

"I bet he wasn't happy to hear about that. You guys see how quick Ross is to get angered, his father is much worse."

"Wait! What?! Sam is related to that dick head?!" Luke groaned.

"Sadly." Selena sighed. "Anyway the reason why Sam's parents sent her here almost two years ago was because Kevin is looking for Sam, he wants to get to know her, but he's not the only one either."

"Annie's Loverboy is looking for his daughter too isn't he...." James sighed.

"Bingo."

What?! I'm a child of an affair?

My heart started to twist in pain as I inched away from the window and took off running. I didn't really know where I was going all I knew was that my chest was raging in pain.

"Sam!" My thoughts broke as I turned my head to see Drew and Wesley staring at me with worried eyes. They were both only in basketball shorts. Sweat beamed off of their chest causing their muscles to glow even brighter.

"What's wrong?" Drew frowned.

"N-nothing..." I muttered.

"You're a horrible liar Sam." Wesley smirked. "Just as bad as Luke."

I sighed and slowly explained to them what I found out before break, during break, and what I just over heard. It took a few minutes for them to process what I had just told them, but once they understood they decided to take me into town and buy me my favorite strawberry swirl ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup.

"Sammy!" I turned my head to see Niall grinning like he was plotting something evil while waving at me. Liam was behind him sitting down chatting with some female that looked like she had some major fake boobs. He turned his head and softly smiled at me.

"So I heard you're our main event. Congrats." He smirked.

"There's no one better than our Sam." Drew smiled.

"Harry would disagree about that." I chuckled.

"So would I." Wesley grumbled causing me to laugh even more.

"When is this fight anyways? I keep forgetting to ask..."

"In a week I believe." Drew said.

"Will you be ready?" Niall asked.

A/N - Will she be ready in time for the fight? Or will something else get in the way? Please stay tuned because there's only a few chapters left!
