Redwood's Asylum for the Insane

Blink once, your dead. Blink twice, run.

4. At Home

The day drew on until finally, Kara could drive home and strip herself of the annoying body suit. As she pulled into the driveway to her small two story house, her stomach rumbled. She chuckled and parked the car before heading inside. At the door she was greeted by two yapping chihuahuas. "Eric I'm home!" Kara sang.

Her boyfriend of four years wandered around from the kitchen wiping his hands with a towel. "Hey sweetie." He pecked her cheek.

Eric had hazel eyes, brown hair, and a square jaw. "Am I right in guessing you're hungry?" He cocked an eyebrow.

"You'd be a hundred percent correct." Kara said.

She took off her bodysuit, leaving her in a black tank top and shorts. There was a plate of hot dogs and buns sitting on the table as she sat down. "Mm..." She hummed and picked up a bun.

Kara filled the bun with a hotdog and scoffed it down. Eric smiled before asking, "Anything interesting happen?"

"Not really. Gordon tazered a guy and Mark heard about this Prisoner Z." Kara shrugged.

"Who's Prisoner Z?" Eric asked.

"We don't know. No one was ever told about them. Apparently two guards had to bring food to her in full out medieval armor." Kara went on nonchalantly.

"I wouldn't go looking for an answer." Eric said.

"That's what I told them! If we needed to know who Prisoner Z was they would've told us!" Kara threw up her hands for emphasis.

"No, no, no. What I mean is, I gave a bad feeling. If you go looking for an answer, something bad will happen." Eric said grimly.

Kara looked at him. "Really?"

Eric nodded. "Well then I won't. I tell them too." Kara agreed.

"Good. Now if you're done, you should head up to bed while I put these away." Eric stood from the table.

Kara kissed him goodnight and wandered onto their shared bedroom.
