Lexi's POV

*1 years later*

"Taylor..." I whispered walking into her room with a Disney birthday cake in my hand. She was still asleep. It was 10am and her birthday party is at 12 so I woke her up. I pulled the curtains open causing the bright sunlight to brighten the room. She woke up.

"Good morning! Happy birthday!" I exclaimed.

"Good morning! Ooh! Is that for me?" She said pointing at the cake on the table.

"Of course it is." I sang. I think I'm more excited than she is. The reason is because that monster a.k.a Rob died in a car crash 6 months ago. And Taylor can live a good life.

"Make a wish!" I said lighting the candle with a 5 on it. She blew out the candle on the second try.

"What did you wish for?" I asked.

"I wished that when we're older we can go to Disneyland!" She said happily.

"If we could afford it. OK, who wants a slice of cake?" I asked cheerfully.

"Mee!!" She said excitedly. I went downstairs and cut a slice of cake while Taylor watched TV. I called Taylor to the kitchen. When we finished our slice, we started getting ready. I showered and slipped on a cute minnie mouse outfit that had put together and did my hair.

Taylor and I went shopping a few days ago to buy her a cute Disney outfit just for today. She seen a cute Cinderella dress and I did her hair like Cinderella.

"Are you excited?" I asked while finishing her hair.

"Yeah! I can't wait until everyone gets here." She answered.

I checked my phone to see the time. It was 11:15. I had a missed call from my best friend, Adrienne,  so I called her back.

A: Hello?

L: Hey Adrienne!

A: Hey Lexi! Is it OK if my cousins come? They just moved here and they don't really know anybody here.

L: That's absolutely fine! Who are they?

A: The Griers.

L: You've never talked about them.

A: Yeah, I never really liked them. But they seem okay.

L: Ok well, I must go. I've got to decorate the house.

A: I could come help if you want.

L: That would be great!

A: Alright! I'll be there soon! Bye!

L: Bye.

I hung up and made a start with the decorations. Within what felt like five minutes, a cur pulled up in the driveway. Must be Adrienne. I opened the door to let her in.

"Hey Lexi! Well, where's the birthday girl?" Adrienne asked cheerfully. Right on cue, Taylor ran in to the hallway.

"Here!" She called.

"Happy birthday!" Adrienne said.

I checked the time again. 11:50. We finished decorating when Taylor's best friend Leah came. Leah's mother and I were talking whilst Adrienne entertained the kids.
