9. Chapter 9

Alfie and I've been dating for a month now, he asked me to be his girlfriend on the 3rd date and I said yes. I really like him and such, but my feelings for Damian's not gone. I mean, I've been in love with him all my life, it's going to take more than a month to get over him.

But what if I never get over him? Maybe he is my true soulmate. I know I sound really cheesy right now. But maybe, maybe it's true.

Hell, I'm still 16 and I'm thinking about my soulmate.

••

I parked my car in front of Damian's house, it's been a few weeks since we've hung out minus the 3 minute conversations in school, which doesn't really count as a hang out, does it? Of course it doesn't.

I saw him standing outside his front door, wearing his Anthem Made t-shirt with his hands inside his jeans pockets, his hair all messy and his blue eyes just mesmerising.

I walked on over to him and we hugged, it was a long hug, I could tell he missed me over the weeks, and I miss him as well, probably more than he does.

'Clover.' He looked down at me smiling. 'I missed you, Clove.' I smiled back, 'I missed you too Dames.'

He invited me in and went into his kitchen. 'Want anything to drink?' He asked me. 'Do you have any tea?' He smirked, seriously, GUYS STOP SMIRKING ITS TOO ATTRACTIVE. 'Being British I see?' I rolled my eyes, 'we are British you dimwit.' He chuckled as he walked over to his ‘tea cabinet’ and made me my favourite peppermint tea.

'So how's Alfie?' He asked as he stirred the cup of tea. 'He's good.'

Its hard to talk about your boyfriend to the love of your life.

Well, that sounds wrong.

'Did he tell you he loved you yet?' He asked, hurt and sadness in his eyes. But why?

'Um... No.' I said, 'but do you love him?' He asked. 'Honestly, I don't know' his eyes lit up a little, well not literally but, bye bye sadness?

'Bex, honestly, I don't know how someone could not hate you.' He said, smiling a little as I pull on a weird, what-are-you-even-talking-about face.

'Sure you could be a bitch sometimes, but you're the nice kind of bitch. I've known you for all my life, and I love you. You're not some rich kid's daughter, well you are, but you're not one of those show off-y type. You're kind, giving, loving, Rebecca you're one of a kind. I feel lucky to have you to be in my life, reason to why I call you Clover, as in a 4 leafed clover. I'm sure he loves you, trust me.' He said with a soft smile, placing the cup of tea in front of me and I stood up ti hug him. 'I love you too, Dames.' I said.

‘I'm sure he loves you, trust me.’ Honestly, I hope he doesn't.

I took a sip of the tea, and it was good. As I said, peppermint tea's my favourite tea flavour.

Damian and I hung out together all afternoon, and after that I went to Alfie's apartment.

••

'Hey babe.' He said and kissed me on the lips. 'Hey.' I smiled, entering his apartment.

We watched The Notebook, and in the midst of that he said, 'Baby.' He started. 'I have something to tell you.' I sat up straight facing him, 'what is it?' I asked. 'I love you.'

••

What'll happen next? And I appreciate you guys commenting and I can tell some of you like this crap of a 'book'. But thanks, its much appreciated.

And I don't know if this Best Friends? will be a long story and I'm sorry I guess. But there will be some One Shots in the future.

Lotsa love <3
