Wonderstruck

Do you ever just see a beautiful stranger? Not just a stranger that looks nice, but a really beautiful stranger who just captures you with the way they look and the way they act and makes you think about them at 2 am. A beautiful stranger that leaves you wonder struck and makes you somehow want to see them again and be with them forever yet at the same time, make you want to stay away from them so they remain this mysterious beautiful person that's in the world that would never hurt you.
I should have gone with the latter.

Rosy's point of view

Ethan carries me all the way up the stairs of the building into the flat. I laugh the entire time and wait for him to put me down but he doesn't, he just adjusts me so that my legs are wrapped around his waist and I'm smiling down at him.

"Hey." he beams.

I giggle. "Hey."

He smiles indulgently. "Hey..."

I grin. "Hey."

He laughs and kisses me, lying me down on the bed which I haven't turned back into a couch for the whole time he's been gone. He pulls away for a moment and we both chuckle before going back to each other. I am aware of everything right now. Every sense is multiplied by ten and then all of a sudden, he whispers in my ear.

"I'll be right back." he kisses my cheek.

I laugh. Typical. He runs into the bathroom and I hear his deodorant and body spray cans spray and I hear him hurriedly brush his teeth. I can't help but find it adorable how much he cares. I do find it a little more adorable when he comes out of the bathroom in just his boxers, I have to say. I go over to him, kissing his cheek.

"I'll be right back." I repeat his words back to him, going into the bathroom myself.

He laughs, grabbing my hand and pulling me back. "You're lovely how you are."

I raise my eyebrows, smiling. "I am?"

"Yep." he smiles, kissing me again and going to unzip my dress but before he can there's a knock at the door and it's opening. We both yelp and Ethan runs around the corner to hide. It's my mum. I'm not mad at her anymore. With the time I've had to think about it, I realise that she didn't really have a choice the other week. Plus, we've been texting and we're fine. I don't think I'll ever stay mad with her. She frowns, smiling.

"Hey sweetheart. Where's Ethan?"

"Just in the kitchen." I press my lips together so I don't laugh even though she clearly knows what's going on

"Ethan come out here, I haven't seen you in so long!" she calls.

Ethan clears his throat as he walks out without a shirt on, awkwardly adjusting his jeans. His cheeks are flushed bright red and he's smiling and chuckling awkwardly as well.

"Hiya, Louise." he smiles, blushing more than ever.

She raises her eyebrows, smiling fondly. "Hello, Ethan. Getting changed in the kitchen, huh?"

He nods. "The life of a student, hey?"

She laughs, nudging me. "Anyway, I was just coming round to invite you both to Rain's birthday party this weekend. It's gonna be a lot of eleven year old boys and family members, but I'd like for you both to come."

I smile. "I'll come along, sure. But what about Dad?"

"Yeah, thank you Louise, but maybe I shouldn't come."

"Your dad is actually away on business. We've already celebrated with him so it's not too bad, but I'd like you to come along while you can guys. And I would like Rose to introduce Ethan to the family."

I groan. "They're going to be embarrassing."

"I'd love to meet them." he promises. "We'll be there, Louise."

She beams, happily. "I can't wait."
