Do you ever just see a beautiful stranger? Not just a stranger that looks nice, but a really beautiful stranger who just captures you with the way they look and the way they act and makes you think about them at 2 am. A beautiful stranger that leaves you wonder struck and makes you somehow want to see them again and be with them forever yet at the same time, make you want to stay away from them so they remain this mysterious beautiful person that's in the world that would never hurt you.
I should have gone with the latter.

Ethan's point of view

The next day I'm moving out of home into my own flat and I'm really not in the mood for it. My mum's chattering away to me, hanging up strings of lights and posters and putting down pictures of the family all over the place. It's just a small flat, twenty minutes from home with two rooms. It has a living room which is basically a couch, a coffee table and a TV. The couch folds out into a bed which makes me feel like a real student. My living room is my bedroom. The living room is basically the kitchen too seeing as there isn't a wall or a door or anything separating the two. The only other room is the bathroom. My mum has made it nice though with all the lights and different candles and air fresheners. I should be excited about living alone but I'm just so pissed off about last night.

"It looks great in here, Susie." my dad nods. "Good work."

She beams. "Thank you for putting the furniture in. Do you like it, Ethan?"

I nod. "It's great."

My dad sighs. "Look, I know what happened yesterday wasn't good but this is exciting! You're living by yourself! You're going to get all the girls in university when they find out that you're living in your own flat instead of the dorms."

I frown. "I don't want all the girls. I want Rosy."

He winces. "Sorry, man. I wasn't thinking."

I sigh. "It's fine."

"But your father's right, it's exciting living on your own, huh?" my mum urges.

I smile. "Yeah."

She smiles fondly. "Okay. Well, we'll let you get settled in. Remember, the door is open any night you need dinner. Try to visit often."

"Susie, he lives twenty minutes away." my dad laughs. "See you later, man."

I fist bump him and hug my mum. "Bye guys."

As soon as they're gone, I turn the couch into a bed and lie down. Rose hasn't texted me at all so I text her.

Rosy x

She replies:

What x

I frown, replying:

Are you mad at me? I mean, you have every right to be, I just didn't think you would be

She replies:

No I'm not mad at you E, don't be silly. I just sort of miss you x

I smile as I type my reply:

You sort of miss me? I really miss you. What are we going to do?

I can almost see her shrug as she replies with:

I don't know. I guess you're fired, huh?

I reply:

Oh I'm fired. I'm pretty sure your dad almost set me on fire

She replies:

Hahah. E, I don't know what we're going to do. Just text until we figure something out. My mum's working on it x

I sigh, wishing she was here with me right now:

Okay. Rosy? x

She replies:

Yeah? x

I call her. She picks up and before she can object to speaking over the phone because it's too risky, I quickly say "I love you too" and hang up.
