Finally found

"I'm lost, that's all I am. I just want to find my place in the world. I just want to find where I belong."

"Well It's not here, so leave."

"Wait, please, please help me. I just want to be found. I promise if you help me I'll leave you alone."

"No just stay away from me and my family. Just go away."

4. Again, what?

Cassidy's POV

I woke up the next morning at realized I was at Isabella's house. After I realized where I was, I remembered why I was there, my grandmother died. I decided not to think about it so I got up and took my phone off of the charger. I looked at it to find thirty seven missed call from mom, she left two voice mails. I tapped the first one to hear what she said.

"Cassidy, where are you? Your father and I are worried about you! Please call me and tell me where you are. Love you and please, call us soon!" I texted her and told her I spent the night at Isabella's house and not to worry. I tapped the second voice mail.

"Um, hey sweety. Your father and I got an early flight, so we left early this morning to go to the funeral. I just wanted to let you know that way when you come home you won't be worried. There is a three weeks supply of food at the house and when you go home, there is a key under the cat statue outside so you can get back in. Please tell us where you are your father and I are still worried. We will be back soon, love you, be safe!" I looked over at the clock and saw it was seven in the morning. 'Why hasn't Isabella gotten up yet? We are going to be late!' I got out of the bed and woke up Isabella.

"Isabella! Wake up, we are going to be late for school!" I yelled at her.

"What? Huh? What time is it?" She asked me.

"Seven, we need to get ready." I said. We ran downstairs and ate breakfast really fast. Then, we ran back upstairs and got ready. Once we had finished we, once again, ran downstairs to find Isabella's mom standing there waiting for us.

"Girls, what took you so long? You are going to be late." She said.

"We know." We both said. We all got in the car and her mom drove us to school.

"What took you girls so long to get ready?"

"We over slept." We both said.

"Wouldn't be the first time." Her mom said.

"Mom!" Isabella said.

"Well honey, you over sleep all the time." Isabella didn't say anything. "You know I'm right." Her mom said. Ten minutes later we arrived at school. Isabella and I ran into the school and down the halls to get to class. When I got to class, everyone looked at me like I was crazy.

"S-sorry I'm late." I said.

"Please take your seat, Miss Weller." The teacher said.

I went and sat next to Chloe and Scarlett, because they were in my first class.

"I am so sorry about what happened Cassidy." Scarlett said.

"We heard." She said.

"Your grandmother." Chloe said.

"How did you guys find out?"

"Isabella texted us." 'Of course.'

"Well, don't be sorry."

"Why?" Scarlett asked.

"Because I never-"

"Miss Weller, please pay attention. You all need to hear this." The teacher said.

"Sorry." He started talking about how we will be getting out records and other things early. When they call us down we will be getting them. The principal was calling everyone down by grade, so because we are juniors, it took a while to get to us. They finally called us down, so Chloe, Scarlett and I made our way down to the auditorium.

"So why shouldn't we be sorry?" Scarlett asked me.

"Because, don't think I'm a bad person, but I'm not sad. The only reason I'm not sad is because I never got to meet her. I didn't know her, so I'm not sad or depressed, or heart broken, I don't feel anything."

"Oh, well, I'm sorry that you never got to meet her."

"Don't be, it's not your fault I never met her and I don't want any sympathy so, don't give me any."

"Ok, sorry, I didn't mean to offend you."

"Don't be sorry, just, be...... not sorry."

"Um, ok? Well are you going to her funeral?"

"No, my parents are. I don't why, but when I asked my mom about my family, she got all weird."

"Didn't you tell me the last time you talked to your mom about family, she got all weird?" Chloe said.

"And didn't you tell me she was acting strange when you talked to her about it a few weeks ago?" Scarlett asked.

"Ya, I did, those were two different times. Why is she so weird about our family?" We arrived at the auditorium and started to look for Pearl and Isabella. We saw Pearl and sat down with her.

"Hey guys, oh my God, Cassidy I'm so-" Pearl stopped mid-sentence. I knew she was about to tell me she was sorry, but Scarlett stopped her. I saw her motioning Pearl to stop talking out of the corner of my eye.

"So, um, what where you guys talking about before you walked in?"

"Cassidy's grandmother's funeral." Chloe said

"But I thought-" Pearl tried to say, but Scarlett motioned her to stop again. "Ok, I'm confused." Pearl said.

"It's ok Scarlett, I'll just tell her. Look, I don't mind talking about my grandmother, but I don't want any sympathy." I told her all about the whole situation. She was a little shocked when I told her but, that's just Pearl. I told her about my mom acting strange when I talked to her about my family.

"Ya, that is a bit odd. Do you think she's hiding you from them?" Pearl asked.

"I don't know. I'm so confused." I said. Isabella soon walked over to us and sat down.

"Hey guys." She said.

"Why did you text them about my family?" I asked her.

"Well I thought I would save you the trouble of telling them, so I told them for you. Did you not want me to?" She asked.

"Um, no. Anyway, do you all know when we are suppose to start at our new schools?" I asked. The conversation filled with "No" "Not really" and "Not sure". The teachers started to call us by last name to give us our records and such. After we were given our papers, we were suppose to go back to class. Chloe was the first to go, so she stood up and left, Isabella was soon after her. It was only the twins and I.

"So, you guys nervous about going to a new school?"

"Not really." Pearl said

"Absolutely."  Scarlett said.

"So we have mixed emotions." I said.

"Well you know Scarlett, afraid to do everything." Pearl mocked.

"Well you know Pearl, she'll do anything, as long as she doesn't die." Scarlett mocked back.

"Oh that is not true." Pearl defended.

"Yes it is! The last time you all did something the only question you had was 'Am I going to die?'. Scarlett argued back.

"Guys, I know you don't like it when people get into your fights and try to get you guys to make up but come on. It was a simple question, don't fight about it."

"Ok." Scarlett said in a frustrated voice.

"Shank, Pearl." The teacher called.

"Bye Cassidy, bye goody goody." Pearl said.

"Don't call me that! You know I hate it when you say that.'' Scarlett said.

"Shank, Scarlett."

"Bye Cassidy, I'll see you later." She said.

"Bye." I said back. I sat in the auditorium for a while longer and then the last person was called. I hadn't gotten out of my seat yet. 'Why wasn't I called? They probably made a mistake, I'm sure they have my papers.' I thought. The announcement for the seniors to get their paper came on. 'Great, they'll be coming in here soon.' I walked up to the teacher who was giving out the papers.

"Um, excuse me? I never got my papers." I said.

"I'm sorry, I don't think we have anymore records."

"I don't know why you would have mine, I've gone to school in this city since Kindergarten."

"I can double check, but I don't think we have anymore." The seniors started to walk into the auditorium and I was hoping to get out of there as fast as possible. The grade above me doesn't like my grade, so, I really wanted to get out of there.

The teacher came back with one paper. 'Why would I only have one paper?'

"Ok, this is what I found, I'm not sure if this is you or not, but here." He handed me the paper and I quickly left the auditorium. I started to walk down the hallway and I looked at the only paper I received. It didn't have much on it, it had a picture of me, my age, my parents, my emergency contact number, and my name. 'I wonder why I didn't get as many papers as everyone else.' I walked back to my first period class and sat down in my seat. Chloe and Scarlett weren't there so I sat alone thinking about my one and only paper. My thoughts were interrupted by an announcement made by the intercom which told us that they aren't going to teach us anymore. The only thing that will be happening for the next two weeks is preparation for transferring schools. So they let us leave early and we won't need to be back until next Wednesday.

I walked out of school and walked home. When I got there I was still thing about why I only got one paper. I thought my mom would know, so I called her to ask.

"Hey mom."

"H-hi sweety." 'I suppose she is still crying, God I hate it when she cries.'

"Um I needed to ask you a few things about school stuff."

"Do you know about the school not having enough funds?"

"Ok, well we got our records and other confidential papers today, and well, I only got one."

"They still had one!" She said. "Bastards." I don't she meant for me to hear the last part, but I did.

"Um, what?"

"Oh nothing. Don't worry about it, It's not a big deal."

"Mom, it kind of is a big deal. Everyone else got a bunch of papers and I only had one. There is something wrong with that."

"No honey, there's not." She started acting weird again.

"Mom, why are you acting so weird?"

"I'm not, honey don't worry about a thing, ok?"

"Ok, but I want to know why I only have one paper."

"We took them all, your father and I took them. Ok?"

"Uh, ok. That's all I wanted to ask. I'll talk to you later, bye."

"Bye, but Cassidy, don't look for the papers. It's nothing important, we will get all of your information to the new school by next week. Love you." She hung up the phone. I was going to look for the papers, there must have been a reason they took them. Parents don't take their kids records and hide them for no reason. I'm going to find the records, and I'm going to find what they are hiding.

I hope you all enjoy it!!
