Drarry oneshots

A series of Drarry oneshots. Don't like, don't read.
Warning: there could be some minor (or not so minor) swearing and other such things. Also some AU. Um...I think that's it for the warning...

10. Stay with me

Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand
But I still need love 'cause I'm just a man
These nights never seem to go to plan
I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?

I looked up at the ceiling, cursing how stupid I had been. It was supposed to be just a one night stand. But then it turned into casual fling, and now...

I could hear the water running in the bathroom. Draco was taking a shower. And then he was going to leave. Some small part of me wanted him to stay, to tell him never to leave again, never to leave me alone, but I couldn't. After all, you never did that after a one night stand.

Our relationship, if you could even call it that, was one based on...favors. But somewhere along the way I had developed feelings for Draco. Maybe I didn't love him, but I cared for him. It was stupid, and I knew it, but I couldn't help myself.

Oh, won't you stay with me?
'Cause you're all I need
This ain't love it's clear to see
But darling, stay with me

I close my eyes and pretend to sleep when I hear the door to the bathroom open again. Silent footstep and then the door to my bedroom opens. I make sure to keep my breathing even and try not to open my eyes. It was like this every time. He left while I was asleep, or while he thought I was asleep at least, and I didn't see him for a few weeks until he turns up on my doorstep again. And I always let him leave, and then always let him come back.

Why am I so emotional?

No it's not a good look, gain some self control

And deep down I know this never works

But you can lay with me so it doesn't hurt

I knew from the beginning that this was a terrible idea, and yet I still followed through. And look at me now. I was alone, wallowing in self pity and sadness, no significant other. A workaholic Auror.

Hermione and Ron often came by, or they used to at least. I knew they were worried for me, but I kept pushing them away. They were happy and didn't need me to taint that happiness with my burdens.

A rustling of fabric indicated that Draco was near, putting on his clothes. Before I could stop myself, I opened my eyes and my hand shot out to grab Draco's arm just as he was aboutto take a step away from the bed.

Oh, won't you stay with me?

'Cause you're all I need

This ain't love it's clear to see

But darling, stay with me

"Stay." I managed, looking into those startling silver grey eyes.

"No." he replied simply, a trace of a sneer on his handsome face, and turned around without another word, stalking out the door. A slamming sound told me that he had left the house. I wondered if he would ever come back. Probably not.

Oh, won't you stay with me?

'Cause you're all I need

This ain't love it's clear to see

But darling, stay with me

"Potter, let me in or I swear by Merlin I will break down the door! Do you hear me Potter?" Draco screamed form the front door of number 12 Grimmauld.

I stared at the door. It was the third time that Draco had come by this week, looking for me. I'd taken a four month (I still had about half a month left.) break from my Auror job to sort things out in my head, and the media was freaking out, thinking I'd left Britain or that I was dead. That was why Draco came by.

The first time he did,I'd been so tempted to open the door, but had resisted. What was the point? He wouldn't come back, wouldn't stay, either way. So I didn't.

The second time he did, I had almost ran over and yanked the door open to let him in, but hadn't, once again remembering why I hadn't opened up last time, why it was not a good idea to do so this time, and stopped a meter away from the door. I'd stared at it for about an hour until Draco had given up and left.

But this time...the urge to open the door was huge. All I wanted was Draco to tell me he would stay, and he wasn't going to do that no matter what. So why should I open that door and let him in?

I loud crack attracted my attention back to said door. My eyes widened in surprise. Was Draco breaking down the door? Sure, he'd threatened to do so every time he came, but he'd never done it.

A second crack could be heard, and then the door burst into flames. My eyes widened even more. Was he trying to break the entire house?

I could tell they were magical flames by the speed that the door burned. In seconds, all that was left of it was a small pile of ashes. My gaze locked onto Draco.

He was standing there, his eyes furious and his fists balled up at his side, his wand clutched tightly in his right hand.

"Why the bloody hell did you not open the door?"

I opened my mouth to speak, but no sound came out.

"Do you have any idea how worried I was! The Prophet kept spewing forth nonsense about oh you were dead or had left the country! What was I supposed to think? No one, not even Weasley and Granger, knew where you were. And to add to that, you cut off all floo connections to your house and don't let anyone in!" Draco screamed at me, his voice rising.

I stared at him, surprised by this sudden outburst.

"I swear if you do that again Potter..." He threatened.

I just looked at him, not saying a word.

He strode over to were I was still standing, grabbed my chin, and started kissing me.

I kissed him back without thinking of the consequences, all thought feeing my mind as I concentrated on how he tasted.

We made it to my bedroom, still kissing. I forgot all about my problems and just let instinct take over.

I woke up again to cold sheets. With a sigh, I got out of bed and put on a random pair of shorts. Making my way to the kitchen, I thought about how stupid I had been. I'd promised myself that I would not let Draco come back, and yet I still had. I was about to grab a mug to make myself coffee when I saw something odd. It was a piece of parchment lying on the counter. Frowning, I picked it up to read what was written on it.

I went home to go get a change of clothes, I'll be back.

I stared at the nite wide eyed. What did it mean?

"Did you just wake up?" A voice asked.

My head shot up, Draco was standing there in a different pair of pants and a different shirt then he had been wearing last night.

"You came back." I said.

He shrugged uncomfortably.

"You told me to stay, last time. I decided I'd try."

I gaped.

"Careful Potter, you'll catch flies." Draco said in a teasing tone.

I smiled. I didn't know what this was, but I'd figure it out.

Oh, won't you stay with me?
'Cause you're all I need
This ain't love it's clear to see
But darling, stay with me

A/N: This didn't really turn out as well as I hoped it would...
