Drarry oneshots

A series of Drarry oneshots. Don't like, don't read.
Warning: there could be some minor (or not so minor) swearing and other such things. Also some AU. Um...I think that's it for the warning...

12. Proposal

Draco's POV

I fingered the small box inside of my pocket nervously. Running my hand through my hair for the millionth time, I look at my reflection in the full length mirror at the entrance of the manor. I'm dressed in a pair of black trousers and a blue silk shirt with a dark blue cloak on top of that. I checked my watch again, and decided that it was time to go pick up Harry from Grimmauld Place.

Touching the box one last time to make sure it was there, I apparated away. Time.

I landed on the top step and took one fortifying breath, then knocked on the door.

Harry opened it. I took in the sight of him. His hair was still as messy as ever, but it looked nice. He had gotten rid of his glasses, so his eyes seemed much greener than before. He was wearing a black muggle suit with an emerald green shirt, the one I'd gotten him last year for a formal dinner with Mother.

"Are you ready to go?" I asked with a smile.

Harry nodded quickly, returning the smile, and grabbed hold of the arm I held out to him. I apparated us away, picturing the destination in my mind.

We landed in a room only illuminated with candles. I'd prepared everything already, and I watched Harry's face closely to see his reaction.

He seemed gobsmacked. I smirked. The room had rose petals strewn all across the floor and candles floated around in the air. There was a table in the middle with two places. The table cloth was red as were the chairs. The walls, tastefully painted cream, had pictures hung on them, pictures of me and Harry dancing, laughing, being happy.

"This is...this is...wow." Harry said, gasping as more rose petals started gently drifting down from the ceiling. "Draco..."

I cut him off by pressing my lips to his.

"I have something very important to ask you." I said when we pulled back. Getting down on one knee, I pulled out the little box from my pocket and opened it. Nestled inside was a silver ring with an emerald the colour of Harry's eyes set in the middle. On the inside was engraved 'HP/DM'. "The past two years that we've been together for were the best years of my life. I never want this fairy tale that we are to end, I want to be with you forever. Will you marry me?"

Harry was smiling widely, eyes twinkling.

I felt my face fall. He said...no? He didn't want to marry me?

"Draco, will you marry me?" He asked, still smiling like a Cheshire Cat. And then I realized just what was happening.

I threw myself in his arms, laughing and kissing him full on the mouth.

"You almost made me think you didn't want me anymore!" I said accusingly.

"Well, I couldn't let three months of worrying go to naught could I? I spent all that time almost tearing my hair out in anxiety, I couldn't let you just propose to me." Harry explained with a sheepish grin.

I laughed and kissed him again, taking his hand in mine at the same time and slipping the ring on it.

When we pulled back, he fished around in his pocket for a moment and then pulled out a ring box, opening it. Inside laid a platinum band with carefully intertwined pieces of gold forming an infinity sign, an emerald decorating one of the holes in the symbol and a ruby in the other.

Harry gently took my left hand in his two and knelt down in front of me just like I had done in front of him a few moment earlier.

"Draco Lucius Malfoy...will you marry me and make me the happiest man on earth?"

"Yes! Yes I'll marry you you Gryffindor idiot!" I exclaimed, feeling happier than I had ever felt when he slipped the delicate ring on my finger.

_____Five years later_____

I watched as Harry chased our daughter, Azalyn Malfoy-Potter, around the room, trying to get her to sit down and eat her lunch. We'd adopted Azalyn from a Muggle orphanage after a long search. We'd went to orphanage after orphanage looking for a child whit some signs of accidental magic and we'd found herm along with our son, Cameron Malfoy-Potter. Me, Harry and the two kids formed a happy family, and Cameron was already heading for his first year at Hogwarts next year. Sometimes I still wondered what I'd done to deserve Harry, and then he would look at me with that goofy smile on his face and I knew in my heart that this was my place, where I belonged.

A/N: That was a bit more...fluffy than planned. Hope it was okay ;)
