Stole My Heart

The pain I felt that day I ran away still pondered my mind. Did I make the right decision? Did I have to leave to make sure Niall was mine? He promised never to let her take him. So why didn't I believe him?
The pain I felt lying on the park bench. In the cold. Feeling unwanted, unloved and lonely. Why didn't I go home?
So many questions were needing to be answered, but I couldn't answer them. They were questions to stay unanswered. For I didn't have an answer. I was so confused of all the past events. Meeting Niall had led me to a life of pain and misery. And look where we are now. In a room full of pain and misery!

46. "Is Harriet here?"

Harry's P.O.V

After a while of sitting in the hard blue hospital chair surrounded by depressed people I decided to take a walk. I began to walk down the corridor that was brightly lit by several large windows. It was a nice day and annoyed me to be stuck inside. I'd had enough of the funny smelling ward and wanted a break. The occasional screams and constant sobs filled my ears and echoed around my head. I hated hospitals. They made me feel so depressed when there was nothing to be depressed about. I hated knowing my best friend was so close, but not close enough to touch. I stopped at the end of the corridor and saw a vending machine. I hadn't eaten yet today so I walked over to it. I put in my £1 and out came a can of coke and a pack of crisps. I chucked my head back and chugged down my coke before feeling someone tap my shoulder. Another fan, really?

I turned round quickly stumbling for my balance at the sight.

"Oh my god Fiona!" I reached forward and hugged her. She returned the gesture and pulled out slowly.

"I haven't seen you in ages, how have you been?" I asked trying to think of the last time I saw her.

"Is Harriet here?" She asked completely ignoring my question. She looked around with a worried expression on her face.

"Yeh why what's happened?" I asked opening my packet of crisps and heading the direction of Niall's room.

"What's happened?! She ran away that's what happened" She laughed like I had no memory.

"Oh yeh, well she's fine. We been taking care of her" I smiled hoping to make her feel less worried about her friend. The corridor was painted white with a tint of blue. Or maybe that was just the lighting? The cold tile flooring echoed with every step we took.

"Slow down" I laughed realising Fiona was now at least a metre in front of me.

"I can't! I haven't seen Harriet in like a month! She could have been dead for all I knew" I laughed at her ridiculous comment. We reached the small room at the end of the corridor which had been my home for the past few nights. I sat down in the uncomfortable blue chair once again only to get an odd stare from Fiona.

"What?" I laughed taking another sip from my drink and placing it on the floor by my feet.

"Well, where is she?" She asked throwing her arms in the air exaggerating her annoyance even more.

"She's in there with Nia-" My answer was interrupted by a yell.

"What was that?" She asked and I scrambled to my feet and rushed to the door where Niall was. The door burst open nearly hitting me in the face. Harriet appeared with tears falling down her cheeks. She knew. It was obvious Amy had told her.

"What's wrong?" I tried pulling Harriet into a hug to calm her down but she pushed hard on my chest as more tears fell. She raced down the corridor and faded away as she turned the last corner.

"Harriet?!" Fiona's voice got quiter as she followed her quickening her pace as she fell behind. I stared blankly at the scene I was left with. Sobs of pain interrupted my thoughts and I quickly turned around. I nearly fell over rushing towards the sight in front of me.
