41. Sith Lord

Andy POV

"She's what?" I exclaimed.

"Gone." Luke stared solemnly out of the window in the joint room I share with Ciara. Correction: shared.

I could tell that Ciara meant a lot to Luke. She was important to all of us, even if she was secretive. However, it was no secret that there was something more going on between her and Luke. I ran my hand through my tangled red hair and and groaned. Life here seemed to be one problem after another and it was getting hard to handle.

I had to stay strong.

It wasn't like anyone need me to be, it was more for myself than anything. I hated, like seriously hated, feeling vulnerable and I wasn't about to let anyone see me fall apart. So I had to suck it up, as usual.

"We have to go after her," I said bluntly. It was the most obvious, and most necessary, course of action.

"I know, that was my first thought too. And I think I might know where she is, but I don't know if it's any use. It's not like she would just come back. She had a reason for leaving and us showing up and trying to bring her back is not going to change anything."

"Fine. We need to know the reason she left before we can try to get her to come back." I was determined to keep us all together. None of us really had a home, that's why we were here. And I wasn't about to let Ciara screw it up by leaving. She was a part of our group whether she wanted to admit it or not.

"In the note she left me, she kept mentioning a 'him.' I'm still not sure who he could be, but supposedly he can manipulate Ciara and he's threatening her by using me." Luke bit his lip, looking more worried than ever.

"He definitely sounds like a Sith Lord of some kind. He's obviously a bad guy because of what he's doing to Ciara, and it's possible to use the force to manipulate someone; it doesn't seem like he'd be able to hurt Ciara in any other way." So many thoughts were running through my head and I tried to draw as many conclusions as I could.

"It seems to make sense," Luke confirmed, "it also seems like this guy has been bothering her a while. She said 'again'. I think he's someone from her past. She opened up a little to me about what happened to her and something about her brother betraying her..."

"Okay," I nodded, "do you think this guy could be in league with Count Alderon? Count Dooku was an apprentice to Palpatine, the Emperor. Maybe this Sith Lord is to Alderon as Palpatine was to Dooku. It seems that this mystery guy is higher up in some Dark Side hierarchy than Alderon. Count Alderon has resources, but he doesn't seem skilled enough with the force to be a leader. Than somehow this guy could be related to the 'Confederacy' or something." I might have been rambling, but I was trying to come up with answers.

"That actually seems plausible," Luke nodded as the door to the room burst open and Lilli, Auron and Ryder flooded in.

"So it's true? Ciara's gone?" Lilli asked with wide eyes. Luke nodded and Lilli, unexpectedly, hugged him. "That's what little sisters are for, aren't they?"

"I'm going to step outside for a bit. Luke, you can update them, right?" I needed a breath of frest air.

"Of course." Luke began explaining and I shut the door behind me.

I inhaled deeply as I stepped into the hallway. I shut my eyes for a brief moment before I heard footsteps coming this way. Nix's muscular figure came into view from around the corner and our eyes locked. Slowly, a sly smile crept onto his face, making his grey eyes appear stormy.

"Nix?" My heart pounded in my chest as he approached and suddenly, there were only inches between us. Nix opened the door to a nearby closet and pulled me in before I could object. The door had barely shut behind me when I felt him slam me into the wall. His lips crashed into mine and I stared at him in shock. I didn't pull away, I didn't try to stop it, I just let him kiss me. Realization dawn on me that this was the first time that we had ever kissed. I had been thinking about this moment with Nix, and with Auron, more than I would like to admit.

Blast it, Auron! Now, I tried to pull away. Auron was so sweet and I was afraid that if he knew about this he would be crushed.

"Nix, I can't-" I struggled against him.

"Don't try to resist. You want this, don't you?" Nix whispered against my neck. I froze. I wasn't sure what I wanted. I stood motionless as Nix slipped his tongue into my mouth. He playfully slipped it in and out and then moved to kiss my jawline and trail down my neck. I didn't know what to feel.

I felt his hands gripping my tangled hair and feathering down to my waist. His thumbs rubbed against my hips and to my hands, which were plastered to my sides. I heard a strange clicking sounds and metal against my wrists. I tried to move them but they had been cuffed behind my back.

"Woah! Look, I already feel guilty about kissing you, I am definitely not ready for sex, let alone... this kind of sex." I shuddered and tried to back away. A smile crept across Nix's face which morphed into a laugh. Slowly, Nix transformed into...a Clawdite.

"You''re, a changeling?" I stared at him in shock and pulled at my cuffs, not quite sure what I was expecting to happen.

"I suppose you could call me that." Woah. I think he was actually a she. "Cato Parasitti," she stuck out her hand as if to shake mine, "oh right, I forgot I bound your hands." She let out a short laugh and pulled a communications device from her belt. "I've got the girl. Red hair, green eyes, pretty sure she's the one you want."

"Want for what?" I glared at her, attempting to reach the light saber at my belt.

"Honey, I have no idea. I don't get paid to ask questions." She bent down to bind my feet when I kneed her in the face. "Gahh!" She yelled as blood spurted from her nose. She pulled a blaster from her belt before I could do anything else. I sighed, I might not be able to get out of this. Cato hesitantly bent down to bind my legs in a second attempt, this time, I didn't fight back.

"So you're a bounty hunter, then?" I asked. Cato nodded.

"Don't take any of this personally. I just need the money. I've had many employers; I was hired by Cad Bane back during the Clone Wars."

I kneed her again and she recoiled. I jumped on her before she could do anything and grabbed the communications device from her belt with my teeth. I attempted to send a comm to anyone who listen, but Cato was on me before I got a response.

"Sorry, kid. Alderon wants you and I need to get paid."
