Lilli Skywalker - So I'm a Jedi...

Lilli Skywalker: Hannah WandArrow
Lilli Wilson never fit in on Earth. She has a terrible adoptive family, and no one seems to understand her. When a boy claiming to be her brother, Luke Skywalker, shows up, she takes the chance to train to be a Jedi.
Now Lilli Skywalker, she must help her siblings find the remaining Jedi and train them. Some including a sarcastic (yet extremely cute) outlaw, Leia herself, and Han's ex-girlfriend.

33. Return Trip Gone Wrong

Andromeda's POV

Luke wrenched the last bolt into place and then took a step back.

"Well, it doesn't look like it's going to fall apart anymore, if that's any consolation." I slapped Luke on the back and pressed a few buttons on a keypad to open the hatch. The ship wasn't in that good of shape when Luke and Ciara first started it up again, but was falling apart once they landed in the caves. After Luke, Ryder, Ciara and Nix and I did a few repairs, it was decent enough to get us back to the facility.

We climbed in, struggling to fit all of us in the tight space. The hatch beeped as it slowly closed, and then we prepared for take off. We weren't planning on leaving Tatooine, so there wasn't a need for hyperdrive. Luke and Ciara were piloting and the rest of us were sitting on the floor in the back.

"I can't wait to sleep in an actual bed for a change." I sighed and everyone let out a half-hearted laugh.

"Yeah, this adventure has made me realize how much we need the facility. I mean, we're all pretty decent individual fighters, but we sucked at trying to work together. We separated so easily and were all taken hostage because of it." Auron said.

"Agreed. We have a lot ahead of us." Lilli added. I closed my eyes and rested my head against the wall behind me. Suddenly, I felt a tremor in the walls and the floors and my eyes shot open. I stood up and rushed to the cockpit when Nix put an arm out, blocking my path.

"Nix, what are you doing?" I asked, my eyes questioning.

"Look, maybe it's nothing. We shouldn't rush to conclusions." His stormy eyes looked at me sternly. I sensed something strange going on. Was there something he wasn't telling me? My thoughts were interrupted by another tremor and I was about to push past Nix, when Ciara burst from the cockpit. There was a worried look in her eyes.

"Raiders. They're throwing spears at us," She said, "We should be okay though, unless one of them hits the fuel pipe." Another tremor shook the ship. I nodded and went back to the others to report the news.

"I'm not sure this ship can survive it, regardless if they hit the fuel pipe." Ryder grabbed the wall as another tremor spread through the ship.

"Thanks for your optimism. I don't know what I'd do without it." Nix fake smiled and Ryder rolled his eyes.

My stomach flipped as I felt the ship falling downwards.

"Guys..." Auron nervously looked out the window, staring at the incoming spears from the Tuskens as we quickly dropped altitude.

"I thought you said this ship could handle it!" I yelled to the cockpit.

"Yeah, if they Raiders didn't hit the fuel pipe. We only had a decent amount of fuel flying to the caves and barely enough to get us home. But considering it all just leaked out a few seconds ago, I'm not really sure what to do." Ciara tried to steady herself as we headed towards our doom.

"Do you guys have like parachutes or something?" Lilli asked frantically.

"Normally, those are something bounty hunters carry. Besides, the ship is generally used for space travel. Parachutes are useless there!" Ciara yelled over the sound of rushing air.

"Wait!" Luke yelled from within the cockpit, "Check the cockpit near the engine! Sometimes Republic citizens would store emergency supplies in a compartment there." I raised my eyebrow, wondering why Luke would know such a thing. But if it can save our lives, there's no time to waste. Lilli sprinted to the engine room and searched for a compartment. Running her hands along the walls, she found a knob and pulled. Inside there was an assortment of supplies. I spotted something bright and yellow and pulled the packs out. Parachutes! I passed them out to everyone and strapped them on as fast as possible. We had less than 30 seconds before we hit the ground I figured.

There weren't enough. I kept searching the compartment, but there were only 4. Lilli, Ryder, Auron and Nix were the lucky, if reluctant, recipients. They stared at the rest of us with wide eyes, as Luke quickly opened the hatch. They waited, not wanting to leave Luke, Ciara and I behind.

"Go! Better 3 dead than 7!" They hesitantly jumped from the hatch. I caught one last look of sadness from Auron. Nix on the other hand, couldn't even look me in the eye. Tears threatened to flood my eyes, but I pushed them back. We'd find a way to survive. At the last second, Luke pulled Ciara into a kiss and then-

***

I woke up, the weight of the ship's rubble crushing me. I could barely breathe, but soon, I felt the weight lifting off of me. I shaded myself from the suns with my hand, my eyes adjusting to the light. I launched into a coughing fit, but soon felt the embrace of strong arms. I looked up to see Nix embracing me. "What...happened?" My voice was gravelly and thick from inhaling the dust.

"Thank God you're alive." Nix squeezed me tight, and I reveled in the moment, when I felt him spring away from me.

"Andy!" Auron ran to me and hugged me. Suddenly, I felt his lips on mine. I was shocked, and because of it, I didn't close my eyes. I had time to see the cold look in Nix's eyes. I had to pull away, launching into another coughing fit. I saw Ryder and Lilli approaching, and searched for Luke and Ciara. I spotted them a little ways away, in the place Ryder and Lilli had just came from.

Ciara was kneeling in the rubble with Luke laying on her knees. She was crying, and for a second I was hit with a wave of pain. It soon lifted upon realizing that Luke wasn't dead; he lifted his arm to cup Ciara's face. Was he okay?

"Andy! Are you okay? Can you move?" Lilli hugged me and I hugged her back, thankful I wasn't dead.

"I'm fine. Where are the Raiders? And is Luke okay?" Questions built up in my mind, but I only asked the most important ones.

"Ciara's fine, Luke protected her before they were hit with rubble. But Luke has a punctured abdomen. He's bleeding and we need help." Lilli's eyes welled up with tears and I wanted to console her, when I realized something. I tried to stand up, but my legs refused to move. I shook my head in disbelief, trying again. Still nothing.

"Guys. I-I can't move my legs." I tried again, but nothing happened. They felt numb and non-existent. I felt so helpless in that moment that I wanted to scream. But I just breathed deeply and leaned back, trying to calm myself, as shocked looks appearing on the faces of my friends.

Out of nowhere, the sounds of footsteps came into earshot. They got louder and louder...

"I'm back." A familiar voice spoke in a sing-song tone. We turned around to see Count Alderon surrounded by a mass of Tusken Raiders. All of them had their spears aimed at us.

"Seriously?" I yelled. For a second, I wanted it to be over. But I shook my head, determined not to let go of hope. We would survive this. We'd find a way.
