19. Hijacking Is Easy, Escaping is Hard

Lilli's POV

"Your brother is going to kill us." Ryder said to me, coming up from behind. We had climbed out of the ducts and stolen a few small ships to get us closer to the Imperial ship in time.

  "Yeah, well." I shrugged.

"Look at you, breaking the rules." He nudged me and I rolled my eyes.

"Ready?" Andy called. We were all riding what looked like flying motorcycles. Auron, Nix and Andy shared the one that was a bit bigger and Ryder and I got on the other one. Nix sat behind Andy and Auron was behind him. It seemed like Auron was jealous. I sensed they liked Andy, and they obviously couldn't both have her.

"As I'll ever be!" I shouted. Andy grinned at me and started up her ship. I held onto Ryder as he started up ours and we all zoomed out of the building.

"LILLI!" Crackled through my walkie-talky thing on my belt.

  "Uh...hi, Luke." I said back.

"Where the hell are you?!" He shouted.

"I'm with Ryder, Andy, Auron, and Nix. We're fine. See you tonight!" I shut it off before he could respond.

"You know he'll never let you out of his sight again." Ryder smirked back at me.

"Yeah, I know." I felt slightly guilty. My "dad" had never really cared what I did or where I went, so having someone worry about me was actually a bit comforting. Still, this was an adventure. And I was excited.

"You have weapons right?" I asked Ryder

"Never go anywhere without them." He said, and I could hear his usual smirk in his voice.

I leaned my head against his back, trying to get comfortable. He didn't tense this time.

"Lilli-" He started, but I cut him off.

"It's right there!" I whispered, "Land down there, in that alley."

"Got it." He sighed and turned us toward the alley. Andy's ship followed close behind. We got out, checked all our weapons, tightened belts, and threw typical Tatooine cloaks over our heads. We left the alley, blending in with the crowd. I led, with Ryder close behind. I saw Andy a few feet away, talking to Auron. Nix strode several yards behind, keeping his cool. He seemed to do that a lot. He was very nonchalant, and confident. Auron, on the other hand, seemed more....humane? I don't know how to describe it. He wasn't afraid to admit his feelings.

I looked over my shoulder to find a tall girl with a mass of red and pink hair piled atop her head, in that way that it was messy but also extremely attractive. She had completely black eyes, and she was leaning into Ryder, giving him a wide smile and giggling at something he had said. Ryder saw me watching and inched away from her, an odd look crossing his face.

She handed him a slip of paper and then hurried off, her white dress swirling around her legs. He watched her go and I turned back around.

"Your boyfriend got hit on?" Andy teased and wiggled her eyebrows.

"Stop it, he's not my boyfriend."

"I still don't get why you like a bounty hunter. I mean, it's like I sense the dark side in him or anything, but it's just weird."

"I don't like a bounty hunter. We're just friends." I defended.

"It's okay, I get what you're going through. This pretty tall girl with glowing blue skin was all up in Nix's business, and I guess I sort of have a thing for him...or Auron...this is getting confusing. Either way, you're feeling jealous. I understand that." Andy smiled at me and I had to admit that I was jealous. But I honestly thought he liked me for a second. Whatever.

.  "So, battle plan?"

We got to the ship, and eventually found a door. Andy broke the lock with her lightsaber, and we quietly walked in. I pulled out my lightsaber and switched it on as a light source in the dark hallway. All of a sudden, Andy, who was at the front, stepped through another doorway and the room glowed red. Alarms went off and a thick, green, gas filled the room. I coughed and hacked, feeling Ryder grab my arm. Eventually his grip loosened as we all fell to the floor and the room went dark.
When I woke up, we were all in a grey prison cell. The door was hidden and there were no windows. Ryder was sitting next to me, stroking my hair. When he noticed I was awake, his hand jerked away.
"Thank god you're awake. It was getting weird with just me and Ryder awake, because he continued to molest you while you were unconscious." Ryder glared at Andy but blushed at the same time. Andy sighed. She had been pacing the room. Auron and Nix were still out cold.
"What happened?" I asked, shaking my head.
"I'm not sure. I think I triggered some alarm, and we were knocked out by a toxic gas of some kind." She shrugged.
"Well that confirms our suspicions. The empire is back." Ryder sighed.
Soon after that, Auron and Nix woke up and we filled them in.
What seemed like days later, even though it was probably only an hour or so, the wall slid open revealing a VERY pissed looked Luke, and two people in uniforms.
"Might I ask," He started, glaring at me, "Why you broke into a cargo ship?"
"Wait...this is a cargo ship?" Andy asked.
"Yes. And you all are in a lot of trouble." Luke grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the cell. The others followed, and we embarrassedly walked down several corridors, led by the two men in uniform.
"Lilli? Lilli!" Ryder snapped his fingers in front of my eyes.
"Oh, uh, sorry. I was just wondering if this isn't an imperial ship. What if its just a cargo ship?"
"A cargo ship wouldn't have knocked us out and locked us up so quickly." Nix stated, jerking his eyes away from where Auron and Andy were having a quiet conversation.
"You are correct." A voice said as the wall slid away. I saw a tall, slender man step into the cell. He had slicked back graying hair, and protruding high cheekbones.
All of us immediately leaped off the ground and towards him. Our weapons had been taken away, but we had to take the chance.
I felt a strong force shove us all back and I slammed into a wall. Everything blurred and my head slumped against the wall. I could feel pain reverberating through my head and tears stung the back of my eyes.
"Lilli!" Ryder's voice caused my head to fill with extreme pain again, and I whimpered.
"She's fine, she's just pathetic." The man said.
"You threw her into a wall!" Shouted Andy, and I appreciated her bravery. She stared the man down like he was nothing. How could she not be afraid of him?
"I know, I am quite good at using the force aren't I?"
"Lilli, you need to open your eyes. You can't fall asleep right now. Whatever you do, stay awake." I barely heard Ryder's urgent tone, as now sound was slightly muffled.
I forced my eyes open, wincing.
Auron was sitting on the ground, rubbing his leg where I assumed he fell. Andy was standing up, next to Nix, glaring at the man.
I was still against the wall, and Ryder was in front of me.
"Andromeda. I suggest you stop speaking. I know who your parents were, and if you cooperate I will tell you." The man dismissed her, and she stepped back, but there was no longer any emotion on her face. I couldn't tell whether she was contemplating his offer or thinking of her parents, whoever they were.
"I obviously don't have to worry about you." The man rolled his eyes at Auron, "And Ryder, you seem to invested in helping your girlfriend. So nephew, I guess its down to you, and its down to me." Then he turned and stared straight at Nix.
