Poems.

I suppose these are just little pieces of me, wrapped up in words.

The forgotten melodies of my mind.

6. Jumping the Cracks

She used to jump the cracks of the slabs that formed streets
And bad luck could not leak across her buckle shoes

Now she jumps the cracks – such ugly cracks – in her heart
So tears cannot bleed out and stain her portraits red

She will jump the cracks forever in an attempt to forget
That she now carries her demons inside of her
They crept out from the paving slabs
And chiselled away at her
And left her aged.
