4. Too Many Secrets

"Hey, we gotta go. Like, now. The other nurses found out this room has an unidentified nurse in it. Come on." I heard a familiar voice say. I opened my eyes and the girl who gave me the pill was standing over me. She reached underneath the mattress and cut the straps off of my feet and pulled out the IV. She helped me up when the door started to rattle. She pulled me over to a closet and slowly shut the door. She held her finger over her mouth. I nodded.

"Crap. She's gone. Do you think it's the same one from yesterday?" One nurse said. The one I was in the closet with squished her eyebrows together and shrugged. She doesn't know who took the one yesterday.

"Well, since we have the IV we can track the blood."

"No, they took that too." I looked over at her hand. She was grasping the IV. Once there were no more voices and we heard a door shut, I tried to walk out but she pulled me back. She pointed outside and then over her mouth. I nodded. After about ten minutes of standing there the door shut again. She smiled and slowly opened the door. No one was in here. She told me to stay here while she makes sure. She came back and got me. We opened the door and made sure everyone was gone. I was still in the gown. We grabbed my clothes and headed to the elevator. When it opened there was a man with a cain in it. He smiled and walked out.

"We have to be real careful. Here. Get changed." She said pressing a button that made it stop. I got dressed and put the gown into the bag she had given me.

"What is your name?" I asked. She looked at me a minute until finally, she spoke.

"Amanda. Amanda Winnings. But, we all have nicknames so others won't know our real names and all that stuff. More secrets. My name that you will be calling me is Hannah. Your name is Isabelle so, let's just call you Swift." She said. I nodded. She pressed another button and we started again. When we got downstairs we looked down while walking out of the lobby. A black Land Rover pulled up and we hopped in. Just as we drove off, a couple of nurses ran out of the door and looked around but never in our direction. I let out a sigh of relief.

"Hannah, where are we going?" I asked. The driver looked back and laughed. What? What's so funny?
"You don't have to call her that." He said. He was an older guy. He had on a ring. Then, he grabbed her hand. Ah.

"Well then, Amanda, where are we going?" I demanded. She pointed towards an abounded building behind a construction site. It was an old museum. "Um, its like falling in?" I said. They both nodded.

    "It worked." He said.

    "What worked?" I asked.

"Why so many freaking questions Swift?" Amanda said. I shrugged. She couldn't see that I did cause she was in the front. So I also rolled my eyes. My wrist started to throb and there was a red liquid spreading through the bandage. Must have been where she drug me alone with her. Ugh. When we pulled up I tried opening the door but it was locked. "Before you get out, you have to make a promise. I have a couple of things you have to keep secret. This place. We are doing an inspection. Inside it is broken down. You will see what it really is. This is my brother. Rick. I am Hannah. You are Swift. We are a family. Your arm. You fell and accidentally cut it on a tree. This is not to be spoken to to anyone. I know you have no friends so I don't have to worry about it." They told me more and more secrets. I threw my hands up.

"Ok! Ok!!! I got it! My life is a secret now! Just shut up!" I said. With that I tried opening the door again. To my surprise, it swung open. I jumped out, grabbed my bag, and started walking up to the building. When I looked at it more, it was hazy. It looked.. unreal. Like an illusion. I wasn't high was I? No. I haven't done anything. I walked up to it and reached for it but before I touched it, a hand slammed down on my wrist. Assuming it was Rick, I turned around and shot a glare at the man. That is, until I realized that it wasn't him. It was a rather dashing looking boy. Around my age. Brown hair, green eyes, and was very tan. He was tall and had a lot of muscle.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He said in a deep, attractive voice.

"But thats the thing. You're not me." I said. I shook his hand off of my and threw a rock at the building. It didn't surprise me that the rock went right through the building, making it buzz. A couple of construction people looked up and pointed. But it had stopped so no one believed them. I looked back at the three of the people standing behind me. Amanda, Rick, and the boy.

"Now, didn't he tell you no?" They asked.

"No, he just said I wouldn't if I were you. But he isn't so, my point has been made." I said.

"Whatever. This is Blake. He will be your partner. You gotta a lot of training to do. He was just like you when we found him. He is my son. So, don't' get any ideas of trying to convince him to run away or something." She said, grabbing Rick's hand and pulling him towards the car. They got in a drove off. I turned towards Blake. I felt bad. Embarrassed. I almost blew whatever cover they are keeping such a a secret.

"Sorry about that. I am just, curious, confused, still-"

"Hurt. Yeah, I bet. I was the same way. That is why we are paired up." He said cutting me off. He smiled and off me his hand. I just looked at it. "Okay? I am Blake. Your?" He asked.

"I think she said my name was Swift." I said being sarcastic.

      "Your real name." He said.

     "Isabelle. Yours?" I asked.

"Blake. Fake one is Adam. Ugh." He said, cringing at the name. I laughed.  "Here, come on." He said, leading me behind the hologram building. There was a building here at one time. I don't know what happened to it. I followed him to a pole. He tapped the top of it and it rose. A keypad rose up at the bottom of the pole. He waited for it to rise to his hands. He typed in some letters. 05-43-27. When he hit enter, a door on the ground opened. He walked down into it, so I followed.
