*The Vamps Fan Fiction*
"The late February weather tickled my skin as I closed the door to the taxi and gathered my bright orange suitcases. I walked up the steep stairs that lead up to the rusted grayish brown door. A whole bunch of different emotions flowed my mind as I was about to see my family again. The door swished open and Connor enveloped me in an abnormally large hug."
Natalie finally sees her cousin Connor Ball again after a few years. While in Scotland, she and her new friends encounter hardship, heartbreak, and many adventures.

5. James's POV

~~
Chapter 5- James

So I was here with my friends expecting to have a nice lunch. It didn’t turn out to be that nice. Well the beginning wasn't that great. Elizabeth, my ex hasn’t stopped stalking me since we broke up. She has an obsession over me. I’m scared of her! I saw Natalie get uncomfortable and she left the table. I feel so bad. I think she thinks that me and Lizzy are still together, which we are not. I let Nat have her alone time because maybe she just really had to go to the bathroom.

“What just happend? Who was she?” Connor asked.

“She’s my ex…” I explained

“Oh…” We continued eating and Natalie came back.

“Sorry!” She scooted next to me and continued munching on her Mac and Cheese.

“Are you ok?” I whispered in her ear.

“Yeh”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. Why are you asking?”

“No you just left-”

“Yeh… because I had to go to the bathroom…” I could tell she was lying. She was obviously uncomfortable. I dropped the conversation.

“Oh it’s on!” I heard Indie say across the table. Tris was kicking her feet under the table.

“Ouch!”

“You little baby! Man up!” Indie commented. Tristan started to make the pouting face to try to make her feel remorseful. She just stuck her tongue out at him and kicked him again.  He moved his leg forward and tried to tag hers. “You ass nugget!” Indie yelped.

“Language!” One of the waitresses whispered. Tristan bursted out laughing and caused me to laugh. “I speak English!” She yelled back to the waitress, causing everyone else to laugh harder. We finished our meals and went back onto the bus. I hated buses. I grabbed onto the handle hanging above my head.

“Gross!” I said in disgust as my hand interferes with something gooey. “This is why I hate buses.”

“Here I have a tissue!” Brooklyn said as she handed it to me.

“Thanks!” The bus jolted forward and we hopped off of the bus. I noticed Brad and Sara holding hands and I thought it was really cute. I wanted to grab Natalie’s hand but I thought that would be too awkward. I went upstairs and started reading a book.

“Knock Knock!” Brooklyn was standing next to the door.

“Yes Brooklyn.” I said.

“Do you know where Nat is?”

“No..”

“Oh ok!” She shut the door behind her and i continued to read my book.

“Hey!” It was Connor.

“Hiya!”

“Can I talk to you?”

“Yeh of course!” I replied.

“I need urm.. girl advice.”

“Oh?”

“So. Can you-”

“Ok! Hold up. Who is the girl we are talking about?”

“Brooklyn…”

“Aw!”

“Ok I need advice. How do I talk to her?  Whenever I try to talk to her I just freeze.”

“I know how it feels. Just be yourself man.” I really had no idea what to tell him. I was the worst person to come to for advice. I got up and exited the room. I spotted Natalie eating a bowl of icecream.

“Can I help you..?” She questioned since she noticed me staring.

“Uh. Yeh! I really really need to talk!” I couldn’t hold my emotions back. I needed to tell Natalie I liked her. Hopefully I would get a good response back. I took her arm and dragged her back upstairs.

“So?” She questioned.

“I can’t! I can’t hold it back anymore.”

“Hold what back?”

“Natalie, I love you!” I said as my face instantly started to blush.

“You do?”

“Yeh. I really don’t our friendship to be awkward now-”

“It’s not. Don’t worry about it.” She smiled and I could tell that she stopped herself from saying something. It felt like the world around us stopped. Like it was just me and her left on the planet. I’m sure she thought it was awkward silence, so I decided to talk again.

“I’m sorry. Was that too soon?” I asked.

“A wee bit but it’s ok! I like that you told me!” She patted my chest and left the room.
