*The Vamps Fan Fiction*
"The late February weather tickled my skin as I closed the door to the taxi and gathered my bright orange suitcases. I walked up the steep stairs that lead up to the rusted grayish brown door. A whole bunch of different emotions flowed my mind as I was about to see my family again. The door swished open and Connor enveloped me in an abnormally large hug."
Natalie finally sees her cousin Connor Ball again after a few years. While in Scotland, she and her new friends encounter hardship, heartbreak, and many adventures.

33. Connor's POV

~~
Chapter 33- Andy

“I can’t make my toast! Are you kidding me right now!” I yelled at the toaster after realizing that the power was still out. “WORK WORK WORK!” I said hitting it against the table almost breaking it. I was completely out of cereal, bagels and eggs so I grabbed my tan long pea coat, some money from a jar and scurried out the door to a coffee shop around the corner. It was near the end of April so the weather started to get nicer but it was still sort of cold. I paid for my cookie and tea and chose a booth seat in the corner. I wrapped my hands around the cup gathering as much warmth as I could. The cookie was soft and freshly baked to perfection. I plugged my headphones into my ears and listened to the local radio station to see what had been going on with the world.

“Hey!” A man maybe a year older than me said approaching the table. “Mind if I sit here?”

“Uh.. no I don’t mind.” I said not making eye contact and moving my things out of his way. There were like five thousand more seats in the shop but he needed to ruin my moment and sit next to me. I finally looked up at the guy and he was pretty cute. Jet black hair, fair skin and dark blue green eyes.

“Crap! I can’t get passed 69!” He yelled breaking the silence. “Sorry!” He noticed me startled.

“Playing Flappy Bird?” I questioned.

“Yeh! Can’t get passed 69!” He added. I chuckled as soon as he said 69. “Stop I know it’s funny ooh 69 ha ha….69.” He mocked.

“Okay… I get it.” Waving my hand in the air indicating for him to stop.

“Did you also lose power last night?” He asked out of nowhere.

“Yeh. The power is still out! I couldn’t make my toast!” I complained. I turned off the radio and took out my earbuds. This guy seemed pretty cool.

“Where you from?” he asked.

“I’m from here. Aberdeen.” I answered. “How about you?”

“Originally from Italy but I live here.”

“That’s nice! So I’m guessing you speak italian?”

“Yup! Fluent actually.”

“Say something in Italian.”

“Faccia bella.”

“What does that mean?”

“Beautiful face.” He answered touching my cheek. I immediately backed up almost falling off of the seat. Please don’t be perverted. You’re actually kind of cute. I thought to myself.

“Um.. Thank you!”

“Well I better get going. See you around!” He said waving goodbye.

“Wait!” I said running up to him. “I never got your name… or your number.” I blushed immediately regretting what I just had said.

“Name, Alejandro Balestro. Number, check underneath your teacup.” He winked and continued walking. I scurried back to my seat and found the number right were he told me it was. I added his number to my contacts and decided I would call him later. I didn’t want to sound desperate. His contact was right above Connor’s. I was still waiting for Con to text me. I added his contact into my phone but I didn’t have his number so that slot was still empty. I missed him even though it had only been a few days since the last time I saw him. He couldn’t still be in the hospital. I stared at the steam rising off of the liquid and spun my spoon in it. A sudden ring from my purse made me jump and almost knock my tea over. I grabbed my phone and it was an unknown number. I picked it up hoping it was Connor and it was!

“Hey Andy! It’s Connor! Sorry I didn’t call you earlier. I just found your number in my book! Haha!”

“Haha! It’s fine! So.. you back home yet?”

“Yeh! Everything was fine thank you. Oh! I wondering if you were available today?”

“I’m available!” I cheered.

“Great! Wanna meet up somewhere?”

“Well i’m at the Coffee shop right now off of Keyseason road. Where are you?”

“I’m at my house. I’ll see you there in a few minutes if that’s ok?”

“Of course!”

“Great! See you soon!” We hung up and I replugged my earphones into my phone and listened to the radio again. I got up to find a seat closer to the front so Connor could spot me easier. Within five minutes Connor wrapped his arms around my body totally startling me and causing me to let out a small shriek. “Hola!”

“Hi!” I said smiling.

“Was the tea good?” He questioned opening up a small brown paper bag.

“It was alright.” I answered.

“I got us pastries.” He took out a few cookies and a large muffin cupcake thing.

“Too bad I already had a cookie.”

“What! No! I-”

“I didn’t say I wasn’t going to eat one.” I interrupted. A smirk spread to both sides of his face as he shoved part of the muffin cupcake into his mouth.

“Mhm! That’s delicious.” He replied.

“I wanna taste!” I said letting him hold it while I took a nibble. “Wow. That is pretty good!.” We took turns feeding each other the muffin and I let out a huge snort when I totally missed his mouth and the blue icing went everywhere. “You’re a smurf now! Connor smurf!” I joked as he rolled his eyes at my stupidity.

“How would you feel to be Barney?” He asked taking a purple icing muffin cupcake out from the bag and shoving it onto my forehead.

“No! I’m not Barney! I’m a unicorn! See!” I pointed to the cupcake which was still stuck to my forehead. His laugh was adorable and his smile was too big for his face.  “I dont wanna be Barney.” I whined

“And I don’t wanna be a smurf.” He added while comfortably resting his legs on another chair.

“Connor!”

“What?”

“You’re not in your living room!” I motioned towards his feet. He shrugged and took a bite out of his cookie. I rolled my eyes at his immatureness and he scoffed.

“We should do this more often. Like a few times a month thing.” He suggested.

“or maybe even an every week type of thing.” i added.

“yeh. Every Saturday we can meet here at 10.” He said.

“Sounds good to me!” A buzz came from Connor’s pocket and he looked down at his phone.

“Oh boy! Unfortunately I have to go. I’ll call you tonight!”

“Ok!” I was happy to finally have a friend. Someone who I can hang out with every week and call night. I had friends but never true ones and I have a feeling that Connor might be my first true friend.
