Lovely Anna

we were just kids.
she had just turned 14 and I thought we should celebrate.
I didn't know what was gunna happen that night..
I didn't know what could've happened that night.
I was stupid.
I didn't protect her like I promised I would always do.
And she had to pay the price, of my mistake.
September will never be as beautiful anymore.
The leaves won't glow like they used to,
they'll only remain dull.
Because September, was the month I lost My Lovely Anna.

1. Happy Birthday

*Knock* *Knock*

I jumped in place, just outside Anna's House,

Its 8 in the mourning and I wanted to be the first one to say Happy Birthday to her, when she woke up.

The door opened to reveal Anna's mom smiling at me ushering me in.

I had already told her about my plan to surprise Anna.

"Go ahead and wake her up" she said smiling at me encouragingly.

I raced upstairs, taking 2 at a time, and quietly slipped into Anna's room shutting the door quietly.

I looked over to her sleeping figure and slowly walked to her bed sitting on the edge of it watching her.

No, I am not a creep...but she just looks so beautiful and peaceful when she sleeps. The way her eyes flutter a bit, while she’s dreaming, and her lips turned up into a smile, telling you she’s having an amazing dream-

I groaned running my hand through my brown hair...

I'm doing it again...the things this girl does to me, sometimes I wish we were more than 'Best Friends', but I cant take the chances of losing her.

I gently shook her shoulder,

"Wake Up Sleeping Beauty" I sang softly.

Her eyes slowly fluttered open, letting a cute little yawn escape her lips.

"Happy Birthday" I said smiling at her,

she smiled widely back, giggling and leaping onto me, her arms gripped tightly around my neck.

I laughed and let my arms snake around her hips hugging her tightly...If only we could stay like this forever.

"Thank You" her voice muffled from the crook of my neck.

I smiled wider and gripped her tighter,

"Anything For You Anna" I said.

"So it's Saturday..." I said nervously letting her go and scratching the back of my neck.

"Ya, it is" She giggled at my obviousness.

"So, I was wondering...we don’t have to do it if you don’t want to anymore, I mean-"

"Drew, what is it" she cut me off chuckling.

"do you maybe want to go to the art museum tonight" I asked looking her in the eyes nervously.

she looked like she lost her breathe...oh god she doesn’t want to go! I’m so stupid! What was I thinking!

"YES!" she shouted joyfully throwing her arms in the air, and yet again attaching herself to me jumping up and down.

I sat there shocked and surprised...she wanted to go...with me.

I let out a relieved breathe, as she let go of me jumping up and sprinting to her bathroom,

"I have to get prepared! Eeek I'm so excited!" she shouted shutting the door.

I stared at the door smiling at how excited she was...mostly relieved that she did in fact want to go.

I was snapped out of my daze, when i heard her shower start, being the gentleman I was, I got up to leave her bedroom, and go visit with Mrs. Gold, hoping she made her famous breakfast.
