5SOS: How to Change a Bad Boy

Make a girl fall in love with you in thirty days (or less). Breaking innocent and naive girls' hearts for their own entertainment. That was the game that they played, and Luke Hemmings was the very best. When he's given a victim, he thinks it's no big deal and does it for the quick and easy cash, but he had no idea what he was getting himself into when he said he wanted a more difficult target.

14. Chapter 14

A/N: Sorry for how short this chapter is. Idk. I was feeling the beginning but it starts turning to crap about halfway through. I just wanted to put something up for you guys. The next one will be better, I promise.

Also! Keep an eye out for my Niall Horan/1D fanfiction "little white lies". It'll be up later.

xx

I woke up breathless and turned to my side, recalling the events of the previous night. "Autumn," I muttered, turning to face where she had slept next to me, noticing that she wasn't there. "Autumn?" I crawled out of the bed and made my way toward the bathroom. She walked out in jeans and a Beatles shirt. Her natural wavy hair was still damp and she wore a smirk across her rosy lips.

"Hey, you," she said quietly.

"Hey, you," I smiled.

"Look what I found on the shower door." She handed me a notecard that had the words "congrats my no-longer-virgin friends" scrawled across it in Mikey's handwriting. I let out a raspy chuckle and Autumn grinned widely.

"Last night was," I paused, looking for a word to describe it.

"-incredible," Autumn finished for me and I nodded in agreement. She smirked and walked over to the bed. I glanced at the cheap alarm clock next to her, sleepily reading 8:00 AM.

I groaned and fell back on to the bed. "God Aut, it's so early. Why are we already up?"

"The early bird catches the worm," she said in a sing-song voice.

"But the second mouse gets the cheese," I muttered. "Come kiss me."

"Why don't you kiss the back of your eyelids if you're so tired," she smirked.

"I hate you."

"You love me."

I hopped off of the bed and stood in front of her, pressing my lips to hers. "I know."

She grinned widely and kissed me once more before clicking her tongue against her teeth. "So what are our plans for today, Mr. Hemmings?"

"I don't know, what do you suggest we do, Mrs. Future Hemmings?"

She rolled her eyes and chuckled. "Calum's having a party tonight."

My eyes widened and a groan escaped my lips. "Absolutely not."

Her smile quickly faded as it turned into a pout. "Why not, Luke? It'll be fun."

"Autumn," I warned, "I really don't think it's a good idea to go." I groaned again as she gave me her puppy dog eyes. I sighed, and she beamed, knowing I was about to give in. "Fine. But we aren't staying the whole time." She smiled and agreed, leaving me alone to get ready. We checked out of the hotel about twenty minutes later, and headed over to Calum's party.

The place reeked of alcohol and cigarettes. We walked through the crowded living room, full of couples that were making out, and found Calum.

"Hey, Cal."

"Hey, man!" Calum beamed, making eye contact with Autumn and I for a split second, and then returning his gaze to a pretty brunette across the room.

"Her name's Madalena," Autumn spoke up. "I have had three classes with her and we just recently started talking."

Calum didn't say anything. He held his gaze on Madalena and continued to drink a beer. Autumn gave me a look and I knew what to do. "You should go talk to her."

"Should I?" He asked, only taking his eyes off of her to make quick eye contact with me.

"Most definitely." Autumn agreed.

Calum walked over to Madalena and introduced himself. "You think they'll hit it off?"

"Eh, maybe." She winked at me and gave a smirk. I grabbed her hand and pulled her upstairs with me. "Ooh Mr. Bad boy what are you up to?"

I winked and flashed a smile in her direction before continuing up the stairs. We walked through Calum's room and climbed out of his window onto a fire escape. "I swear to god, Luke. Jesus what is your obsession with windows?"

I chuckled at her comment and motioned for her to come sit next to me. We were sitting on the edge of the fire escape, legs dangling over. Her head was resting on my shoulder and we were watching the sun set together, and as cliche as it sounds, the sunset didn't even come into comparison with Autumn's beauty.

"What are you staring at?" She asked me.

"Nothing."

"Lucas."

"Autumn."

I leaned in and kissed her. "You're beautiful," I whispered to her, and in the glow of the newly darkened sky, I could see a crimson shade spread across her cheeks. She nuzzled her face, embarrassed, into the crook of my neck. The song 'Next in Line' by walk the moon began to play from downstairs and she looked up at me.

"Okay, call me crazy but I swear this is the third song in a row that I've heard that's on my playlist."

I flashed a cocky grin. "I might have made some arrangements."

"You're the best."

I smirked. "Eh, what can I say? My wonderful girlfriend has been rubbing off on me." I winked and helped her up. We both crawled back through the window and walked downstairs into the living room where we saw Calum and Madalena talking.

"I would love to go out with you, Calum. But I don't want to get my heart broken. I'm sorry," she said, walking over to the front door.

Autumn told me she would be right back and walked over to talk to her.

"I don't understand, Luke. You changed for Autumn. Why won't she let me change for her?"

I sighed. "Cal, you don't just change yourself. Autumn changed me. Madalena might change you."

"It's just not fair." Calum stormed upstairs and I walked over to Madalena and Autumn, snaking my arm around Autumn's waist.

"Hey, baby," I whispered while kissing her on the forehead.

"What should I do, Autumn? I like him but I don't want to get hurt." Madalena asked, burying her face in her hands.

"Madalena, I am not the expert on how to change a bad boy. Luke has messed up multiple times but I've forgiven him. He's hurt me, but I know that he loves me, and I know that I love him. The only thing I know that can change Cal is-"

"-love," I finished for her. "The only way to change him is love. Now, you might get hurt, but you might also be surprised. It's up to you."

"Thanks guys. I guess I'll try to think about it for a while."

"Of course," Autumn said and I dragged her upstairs with me to see Calum.

"It's horrible. She thinks I don't treat girls very well," Calum whined.

"To be fair, you didn't for a while, Cal," I said honestly and he shot me a glare.

"Just prove to her that you can change, Cal. That you're better than that," Autumn said, trying to reassure him.

"Yeah and how do I do that?"

Autumn and I exchanged glances before telling him we would help him think of something. Autumn left to go grab Ash and to call Mikey and Demi, leaving me in the room with Calum.

"Now who's the one with the challenge?" I looked at Calum with a smirk spread across my lips.

"Shut it, Hemmings."
