2. Wow

Chapter Two-- Wow

I walk into the greeting sunlight. My lock reflects the sunlight and it bounces onto the ground.

I laugh a little then I look up to see a key holder.

I make sure to look at the key... No scratch.

I instantly run over to him.

"Hello, my name is Hazel." I say with a smile from ear to ear.

He stares at my lock.

"Hey... My name is Crestant." He mumbles.

His key had water on it which meant he would be an aqua life veterinarian.

"So you're gonna be a vet?" I ask.

He chuckles and looks at his key that's connected to his belt.

"I guess so." He says.

He looks at my lock.

"And you're a cutter." He says.

"Guilty." I say smiling.

Being a cutter isn't embarrassing in the slightest. Well because your lock already says that you are one. I've never met someone who's a cutter who was embarrassed.

Him and I get talking, then we got on the topic of "The Locks System".

"Did you ever think you found your key?" He asks me.

I put my head down...

"Yes..." I say.

"Can I hear the story?" He asks.

The story is a complex story of friendship that leads to love, that is pulled away.

"I had a friend, his name was Ace. We were friends since we were in kindergarten. He had a key, I had a lock. We didn't understand what they were for and why ours were different well, because you know, we don't find that stuff out until we're 13. But when we did find out... We found out ours didn't fit each other's. We still went on dates and dancing, until..." Tears fill my eyes, "The system found out... Because he was a key which are the good ones... He was taken away. I don't know where he is now, but all I know is I'm stuck here with his memory."

I start to cry.

He hugs me.

While he's hugging me he takes his key off of his belt.

He puts it in the lock and turns it... The lock falls from my neck.

My eyes grow.

I look up into his eyes, the eyes of my key.

Shock fills me from head to toe.

"You want to go to an old times movie?" He asks.

Old times movies are movies where people found love on their own. I find it completely insane like... How can you manage to pull that off?

They would do everything for themselves I mean they even picked their own careers! It's insane! They also could stay out as late as they pleased! And most importantly... They chose who they were going to be with forever...

I smile and nod.

This is the guy I was going to be with forever.

I ran my hand along my neck where the lock was and felt the sweat.

"It's pretty pale." He said chuckling.

I pull out my iPhone and look at my neck.

He was right. It was as white as paper.

I blush and cover it.

He smiles and gives me a pill.

"I was told to give this to my lock." He says.

I look at it.

I pop the pill into my mouth and I take a drink of my water.

Soon I feel my neck sweat fade.

I look at myself in my mirror again... I looked...

"Beautiful." I whisper.

"Couldn't have said it better myself..." He says.

The pale line was gone, my lips were full, my hair was curled and thick, my eyelashes were long and thick, I had breasts, and acne was gone.

"What the heck kinda beautiful magic is that?" I ask.

I stand there looking at the new me, I don't understand how I didn't notice before...

Like wow I guess everyone that I've known as a lock that found their key did become much more attractive.

We go to his house to watch the movie. It's a really old one called The Fault In Our Stars.

It's was basically the most perfect thing.

But now we faced something...

Going to the "Lock & Key" organization. That's where they check if things have gone wrong. But they've been doing this for 296 years and there's never been a mess up besides like same-sex couples which isn't really a mess up but for some odd reason they say it's one. That's also where keys go when they turn 18 and still haven't found their lock.

That's the place that changed my life.
