The Fault In Our Stars

" I don't want to say goodbye, someone tell my why, I just want to see the stars with you "

1. Chapter 1

“Some people don't understand the promises they're making when they make them," I said.
"Right, of course. But you keep the promise anyway. That's what love is. Love is keeping the promise anyway.”
― John Green,  The Fault in Our Stars

"I don't think I should pity myself just because I'm dying, Troye." She told him once again, as they he drove them to the Hospital.

"I just think you should make the most of it." He shrugged, his heart was breaking slowly every time the thought of her dying came closer, and the days went too fast for them to savour.

"I will, slowly but surely." She sighed, looking out the car window, and Troye couldn't help but look at her beautiful features. She had brown curly hair that fell down to her shoulders and hazel green eyes that he loved so much.

They soon reached the hospital, where they parked their car and made their way inside.

As they sat in the waiting room, Troye held her hand, rubbing his thumb lightly against them.

"You know I love you right?" Troye gave her a sad smile. "Of course I do. I love you too." She replied, smiling back.

"Then you don't have to pretend that you're okay, because I know you're not. I can read you like a book." He began. "And I know that you're scared, and I'd do anything to help you get through this, okay?"

She sighed, looking at the ground as he searched for her eyes to look back at him.

"Hazel?" He hesitated. "Please?" He lifted her chin up so she was looking at him.

"I know, Troye." She breathed. "I just want people to think I'm strong. I don't want them pitying me, they act like I'm a five year-old child that's got a fever, always attending my every need, I don't want that. I'm independent and 18, I don't need people telling me to live my life and getting angry when I don't do anything active, I just want to stay with you and watch movies or bake cookies, something that you and me will remember forever."

"Okay, Hazel." He said, giving her a peck on the cheek. "Tonight we'll get your polaroid camera and take some cliche pictures of us." He winked, making her giggle.
