My Cancer Story

Well, this is my story about cancer. A true story!

2. Port

We started chemo maybe a week after, some time in July 2011. They put a port in me. A port is a plastic thingy inside of your body (under the skin) that connects to a vein. When they put a needle into the port (accessed), they could take blood and give chemo. During chemo the needle was in me for about four days. I had my port accessed A LOT

but thankfully, we used numbing cream: the best thing since sliced bread!

Sorry, I don't really understand how ports work, but if you're confused, just ask!
