"Niall, you have to believe me!" I cry into my phone, distraught. "Yeah, it's so easy to believe that you have two sisters who look exactly like you, when you never mentioned them before, Ally," he replies tartly. "Yeah, because I had so much time to tell you while you were kissing Kat," I snap, and instantly regret it. "I, um, didn't mean that," I add quickly. "Forget it Ally," Niall says and I hear him sigh. "I thought you were different than other girls, but apparently you're just like everyone else. You aren't special at all. You lied to me, and I don't know what I ever saw in you." The words are like a slap in the face, and I bite my lip. "What if I prove it to you?" I ask hopefully. "I can prove that I'm a triplet. I can bring Ansley and Ava to see you." Niall pauses. "Whatever. Do what you want. I'm done with girls, I'm done with lies, and I'm especially done with you." I gulp back my tears. "Niall, please. Hear me out," I start, but I'm cut off when he hangs up the phone. I immediately call Ansley and explain what has happened. "How could Ava do something so awful? I don't understand why she would want to hurt you," Ansley says thoughtfully. "Me neither," I say. "But will you come along?" Ansley agrees to come to the hospital so Niall can see I'm not lying. "How are we going to get Ava to come?" Ansley asks. "We can say that we're going to see a friend and we want her to meet them. If it doesn't work, I'll FaceTime her and show Niall. Anything to make him believe me." I choke up and I stop talking. Ansley comforts me, then tells me she'll meet me at the hospital with Ava. I hang up and ask Louis for a ride. He agrees without hesitation since he thinks I'm just going to visit Niall like I usually do. The ride to the hospital is mostly silent, until Louis asks abruptly, "Is he going to die?" I look out the window, stalling until I can think of a good response. "He...could," I say, the words ripping me apart. "He actually wanted me to tell everyone that tonight." Louis's grip tightens on the wheel of the car, and I see him trying to keep from breaking down and crying. "I'm sorry," I whisper. He shakes his head. "I'm sorry," he says. "He really loves you, and I can tell you feel the same way." When we reach the hospital, Louis says he'll be back in two hours to pick me up. I thank him, wave, and enter. I see Ansley and Ava, and I wave, putting a cheerful smile on my face. "Hey guys," I call faux-happily. Ava smiles, and I hug Ansley. "So who am I meeting?" Ava asks. "A family friend," I reply vaguely. Ava seems satisfied, so we head upstairs. Outside of Niall's door, I look at Ansley. "He's expecting us," she says kindly, encouraging me. I open the door and the three of us walk in. Ava's face lights up with recognition, and she turns pale. She turns and flees, but not before Niall sees her. "Is this enough proof?" I ask weakly. Niall looks down at his hands. "Yeah. I'm sorry Ally, I should have believed you in the first place." Ansley walks over and introduces herself. Niall smiles at her. "You should know I'm very fond of your sister," he tells her. I blush and busy myself looking out the door into the hall. "She's very fond of you too," Ansley replies, making me blush an even deeper red. "Aw, Ally, don't be embarrassed. Come here," Niall says, and I sit down next to him. Ansley grins at us, then says, "I should probably go. I have to get back soon." I thank her for her help and say goodbye. When we're alone, Niall studies me closely. "What?" I say, feeling self conscious. "You're just so beautiful," he says, and then he kisses me. I close my eyes and kiss him back. He runs his hands through my hair, and I drape my arms around his neck. This is everything I've ever wanted.
