4. Hailer

I fluttered my eyes open and stretched with a yawn. "De-li-lah," I heard Hailer muttered. I glanced at him beside the door frame. He was a cute three year old. His head is full of perfectly white hair. His eyes is the perfect blue. He's going to be a catch when he gets older.

"Delilah is a sleep," I said turning over in my bed with a small smile on my face. I closed my eyes and pretended to sleep.

"Delilah, you're not a sleep," Hailer giggled.

I heard footsteps getting closer and I turned around real quickly and picked up my little brother, throwing him on the bed with me.

He screamed while laughing at the same time. I still don't know how he managed to do that.

I tickled him while he threw his fits of giggles.

"Del-li-lah!" I have no idea why Hailer always emphasize my name.

"I'm going out to play football," said Will leaning against my door frame.

"Shouldn't you be getting ready for your date?" I asked.

"It's tonight, sis. I will get ready tonight." Will rolled his eyes.

That poor girl. I thought. She does not know what she's getting herself into.

Will walked out of my room with a roll of his eyes. "Oh, Delilah. Mom and Dad already went out so you have to take care of Hailer alone!" Will called.

I smiled at Hailer. "That's not a big deal. We're going to have fun. Arn't we Hailer?"

Hailer nodded enthusiastically. "What are we going to do, sis?" he asked.

I picked him up and settled him on my waist. "Well, we could go out to see a movie tonight since Will will be gone." I laughed slightly. Will will be gone. I laughed again.

        "Why are you laughing, sis."

"Oh, um, no reason. So, what do you think?"

He nodded so hard that I thought with just one more nod his head will fall off. "Ok, so what do you want to see?" I asked.

"That's for tonight. What are we going to do in day time?"

"Well, we could play video games and play outside." I said.

"I'm to young to play video games." Hailer pouted.

"Aw, Hailer. You're never to young to play video games. I played with Will since I was two." I said. "Now that I think about it. I don't think the controller was plugged in." I muttered. "Actually, Hailer you're never to young or to old to do anything. If you just focus on something you can do it. C'mon, we can go outside for the time being."

When we got outside I set him on the porch and just let him run around. I sat down on the rocking chair and watched him closely. "Hailer, you can go in the yard too. Just don't wonder off anywhere that I can no longer see you."

Hailer nodded briefly and climbed down the steps.
