10. Stand up.

Chloe's POV:

My sister had dragged me out of that house then tackled me to the ground. Punch after punch I felt like I was going to throw up. Soon there was a crowd surrounding us which made her enjoy beating me even more. I closed my eyes as tears slipped out of my eyes. I was wishing it would be over. I was wishing that I was dead.  A loud scream caused me to open my eyes but everything was so blurry I couldn't see a thing. Soon sirens filled my ears. That's when I felt someone lift me up in their arms. I still couldn't see a thing but by the sweet smell of cologne I had a feeling it was Wesley. That's when everything went black and everything went silent.

I woke up to the soft sounds of a machine beeping. I flickered my eyes open to see a hospital room. I looked down to see Wesley was asleep with his head on my lap. I smiled and ran my hand through his hair gently. My attention turned to the doctor who opened the door.

"Ah you're awake that's good." She smiled at me.

"What happened?" I asked as best as I could. My throat was dry and it felt like I swallow a bucket of nails when I talk.

"You have suffered a lot of small wounds from that fight." She said.

"Where's my sister?" I asked.

"Being held at the police station. It's a crime what she did." She shook her head.

"Is she going to jail?"

"Only god knows for sure." She smiled softly at me. "Now get some sleep."

When she left Wesley sat up yawning. Part of me feels like he was just pretending to be asleep. The other part of me couldn't help but think about how cute he looks right now. I tried to push the thought of us kissing earlier out of my head but I just couldn't.

"You're sister is a bitch." He finally said.

"Tell me about it.." I sighed.

"Ariana went crazy on her after we pulled her off of you. It took all three of us to pull Ariana off of her." He chuckled.

"She's very protective of me." I smiled softly.

"I heard that they called your parents." He frowned.

"What?" Fear took over my body.

"Yeah the police did and the doctor did. The doctor also called an Aunt though because Ariana said that your parents were probably gonna go to the police station to bail out the only daughter in their eyes that they have." He sighed.

"That's true..." I sighed. Our attention turned towards the door as it started to open up. My eyes lite up with happiness when I saw my Aunt Lilly. She smiled at me as my little cousin Sophia ran to my bed jumping up and giving me a hug.

"I heard what happened kiddo." She frowned. "I also talked to your parents, they keep trying to tell the police that they have it wrong. That you were the one to blame not Destiny." She shook her head with anger.

"That's normal.." I sighed.

"Well I am sick of them treating you this way. I am going to the court tomorrow and talking to a judge about adopting you. This can't go on any longer!"

"We're gonna be sisters!" Sophia cheered.

"Really?" I gasped with happiness.

"Yes I have always thought of you as a daughter so why not." She smiled. "Now we'll let you get some rest. I'll see you tomorrow dear." I watched as they left with a smile on my face. I turned to Wesley who was smiling also. That's when he leaned in and kissed my lips ever so passionately.
