I ran to Kylie's front door step, it was pouring out. My hoodie, hair, Vans, and beanie were soaked. She said her parents were out of town this week with her siblings and she was alone because she has school.
She answered the door, and gave me a sour look.
"Hey." I smiled, confused.
She looked at the 'Welcome' mat that I was standing on, "I went to go get a prom dress today." She said quietly.
"That's cool." I smiled at her
"I saw Laura-" She mumbled looking at a small paper. "-and she showed me this."
She handed it to me. I looked like a picture of someone kissing someone. "Who is this?"
Her eyes started watering when I asked the question. "You seriously don't know who that is?!"
I shook my head.
By now she was crying, "She said it was you!"
My heart sunk, I took another peek at the picture. It looked like me, it wasn't though. "K-Ky, you know how Laura is!" I stuttered. I tried reaching for her hand but she pulled away.
"Yeah. Yeah, I do." She said.
"Kylie you know I would never-" I started but she cut me off.
"How do I know you wouldn't Ash?" She asked. I saw the tears making their way down my face. "Ash...I thought you'd never do this to me. I really believed you loved me. Obviously I was a fool for thinking that because this picture proves that this was just some silly game to you."
Before I could say anything at all, she slammed the door in my face. I couldn't believe Laura. She knew that Kylie would be crushed if she ever saw me kissing another girl. But I would never mean to hurt her. I thought she wouldn't fall for Laura's tricks. I loved Kylie. And I wasn't ready to stop loving her. Even if that meant that I had to do the unthinkable. I'd do anything for her.
Within minutes I saw myself against her front door sat on the ground. My head was in my hands, and tears were streaming down my face.
After I shut the door, I slid down with my hands in my face. Tears were streaming down. I just never thought I'd hear sobs from the other side of my front door.
