Burning Gold-COMPLETE-

Cyanna Harlech and Jax Parka. The winners of the 67th Hunger Games are back. This year, they are thrown back into the Games, not to fight victors, but to fight better and stronger fighters. The only thing is; this year, it is undecided if everyone shall live or perish in The Arena.
(Sequel to The 67th Hunger Games)

9. 9

I wake up, with Biram shaking me annoyingly.

"I'm awake! I'm awake!" I groan.

"Good. Get changed!" Biram ignores my first words.

"Fine...Shall I wake Jax?" I ask.

"Yes please,"

Before I do, I change into the Training Centre jumpsuit and braid my hair. I put some shoes on and walk to Jax's room and shake her awake, like Biram did to me.

"Morning! Get changed for the centre," I tell her.

"OK. Shoo. I don't wanna get changed in front of you," Jax giggles.

"I was going!"

Smiling, I walk into the dining room and sit next to Kiar, who is fiddling with something.

"What's up?" I ask.

"This," Kiar shows me my pin.

"I forgot to give it to you," he hands me the pin.

"Thank you. Have you got a dress ready for the meeting with Caesar?"

"Yes. But that's tomorrow night!"

"Hello Kiar!" Jax pipes in.

"Hello Jax. Sleep well?" Asks Kiar.

"Yes. I did," She slides into the seat, in front of me and fixes a part of her jumpsuit, where a bit of the fabric is showing her shoulder.

"I wonder what the other tributes are like. What weapons they use," I sigh.

"Same," Jax replies.

"Oh. Stafftip," I look at him walking into the room.

"Do you think we are still in the same arena when the Games start?"

He takes a long pause before he speaks, "No. I'm pretty sure I remember The Gamemakers telling us that it's a different one,"

"Hmm. OK,"

Neddie walks into the room, wearing bright greens and blues on her dress.

"Hello! Ready to go?" She asks, and Biram walks in as she finishes her sentence, as does Destiny.

"Yes, I think so," Jax smiles uncertainly.

"I am. I think." I mumble. Jax and I walk into the elevator and press the button that says; T CENTRE. The same as last year. We walk out, to see all the other tributes standing there. They look stronger than all of the tributes last year. Maybe stronger than us. Jax and I walk into our place in line, and I notice the boy from District 8 eyeing us carefully.

A bell is rung, which signals us to go to our stations and everyone runs in different ways. I on the other hand stand there and look around. I notice the District 7 couple having trouble properly lighting a fire, with small sparks popping off.

I walk over to them awkwardly and sit down with them.

"Want any help?" I ask.

"Yes please," the boy says.

I help them make the fire and they thank me.

"Cyanna well done last year," the girl smiles.

"Thank you. What are your names?"

"Riam," the girl chirps.

"Stark..." The boy says.

"Oh! I remember you at the Ceremony. I'll get Jax," I smile and call her name. Jax comes running over.

"I'd like you to meet Riam and Stark!"

"Hello," Stark smiles.

"Hello!" Replies Jax.

"Yes. At the Games we should find each other and share our supplies."

"OK," agrees Riam.

Now we have more allies. A better chance of survival? Maybe not.
