Burning Gold-COMPLETE-

Cyanna Harlech and Jax Parka. The winners of the 67th Hunger Games are back. This year, they are thrown back into the Games, not to fight victors, but to fight better and stronger fighters. The only thing is; this year, it is undecided if everyone shall live or perish in The Arena. (Sequel to The 67th Hunger Games)

"Cyanna! Get Jax up! Quick!" Stark hisses at me and I wake up pulling Jax and myself out of the sleeping bag. She wakes up and holds on to the trees trunk to stay steady. I roll up the sleeping bag and stuff it in my pack, and hoist the pack over my shoulders. Jax, Stark and Riam grab theirs as well.

"Get down the tree. We have to move look!" Stark carries on. We jump down carefully and I move my head to look what is coming to us. I gasp and grab Riam's hand whilst Stark takes Jax's.

"Don't you think I can run?" She asks.

"You can, but we have to go quickly Riam!" I reply as Cealie, Dearla, Harim and Caudral get closer to us all. We sprint through the trees and I rapidly brush branches away from my face. Jax looks behind her and sees that they've gone.

"Guys stop running... It's morning anyway!"

"Jax is right. Stark, you need some rest. I'll hunt, Riam can find water and Jax can-" Riam cuts me off.

"Help me,"

"Yes, OK! We meet back here," I point to a tree near us where Stark can rest as we get more supplies. Everyone agrees and runs off in their directions. I grab my arrows as I hear a loud rustling in the bush and get ready to shoot. It's not a rabbit. It's the boy from District 11. Just as he's about to throw a spear at me, I shoot an arrow in his heart and he falls to the ground. His cannon fires. I keep running and find a bird in a tree and shoot it down also with another one. I get back to Stark, who has now dozed off leaning against the tree. I pull my bloody arrows out of the birds and find a small puddle, cleaning the blood off. I left the other arrow in the boy's heart.

I sit next to Stark and look in my pack for my flask. I'm so dehydrated, I even forgot that Riam and Jax went to get some water in them. Just as I settle down and calm down, I hear a bloodcurdling scream near us. It wakes up Stark and we grab our stuff running into the bushes. Jax has her eyes wide as we see Riam, in a puddle of blood moaning and clutching her forehead.

"Riam! No! Don't go! Please, please!" Stark cries, kneeling by her and he pulls a knife out of her head. I just spot the girl from District 11 sprinting off and I grab Starks spear and throw it at her. I grab it back and rush back to the dying Riam, to find Stark holding her trembling hand.

"Riam..." I brush her brown hair out of her eyes and she clutches my hand, "You've been amazing. I'll miss you..." I whisper and gently kiss her cheek. The wound is too deep to fix, the knife dislocated a part of her skull.

"J-Jax. S-Stark and... C-Cyanna... I love you... All.." Riam whispers as her eyes become glassy and her heart stops. Riam's cannon fires and a tear rolls down Jax's cheek. I close her eyes and take a deep breath.

"I'm sorry Stark," I mumble.

"I-it's ok... Jax did you see it?" He asks.

"Yes. District 11's girl ran towards us and threw the spear at her. I have the flasks," Jax picks them up from the ground. A hovercraft appears and we get up and jog to our camp ground.
