Smiling, I wake up in the arms of someone. They had their arms wrapped around me with their hands placed on my baby belly that was now a little larger than after the fight between my dad and Zack. I glance down at my hands that were placed over the warm ones placed upon my stomach and notice it belonged to someone male.
Well, whoever it was had to have been larger than me. I turn my head to the left slightly to see that Zack was laid behind me and he seemed to have been smiling in his sleep while chewing his bottom lip. I wonder what he was dreaming about. Judging by the way his smile was widening, I'd say it was definitely about something good.
Now, how did I get here? Oh yeah, the Cerda Pack broke my back and used something to whistle so loudly, I could hardly hear the racket he made while giving his pack members orders. Why did he bring me here? Wherever I am. Wait a minute, it might be because of my secret. Although he won't be able to turn immortal because I don't even know how to make other people immortal.
"You're awake?" I look up to see Austen curled up in the corner of the room. The scar on his eye stood out compared to the large bruise that was forming on the side of his cheek. He watched me warily with his green eyes as he held the side of his arm, sighing in pain. I think he was trying to hide the fact that he was hurt.
"Mhmm." I murmur, gently moving Zack's hand as I pull myself up into a sitting position. For some reason, the only things in the room were a tray of food pushed just beside the door and the thin mattress Zack and I had been sleeping on. My tummy growling, I wish I had woken up sooner so I could eat.
"Go on, he saved it for you." Austen kicked the tray in my direction. I smile in thanks, picking up the tray as I lean against the wall, sitting on the floor. Scowling at the fact another rumble escaped my body, I start eating the cold stew anyway. Whoa, this isn't the best stew I have tasted but it's the only thing I can get to at the moment. "What happened to you two?"
"Someone..." I gulp down the last meat chunk of the stew. "...attacked us and used this whistle thing that made us unconscious. I'm not sure what happened after that, but I don't really care cos I'm glad Zack is OK. What happened to you?"
"My dad found me." Shifting, I notice the large gash that was spread across his chest. His thick shirt failed to hide the fact that he was bleeding heavily and desperately needed a new shirt or a doctor soon. Very soon. "He found out what I did."
"How long have we been stuck in here?" I rub my belly gently as more hungry growls came out. Man, I knew I was hungry, but I didn't know I was this hungry! "It feels like I haven't eaten in years."
"You haven't eaten in two months." I drag myself across the floor and sit beside Austen. Looking into his green eyes, I recognize the fear I brought him as I placed my hand on his knee gently. "Why are you doing that?"
"I just want to make sure you're OK." I intertwine my fingers in Austen's as I moved his shaky hand from his arm, down to his ankle. Wow, there was a large gash across his shoulder blade leading to just below his elbow. My intake of breathe didn't do a very good job of hiding my surprise. Austen pulled himself back. "Huh, wasn't that a foot long a second ago?"
"Yeah, it was." Austen stared down at his arm in amazement before giving me bright eyes showing thanks. "What did you do?!"
"I didn't do anything!" Why did he think I'm the one who managed to heal his arm?! Wait a minute... "I have powers? Since when was that possble?!"
"Thank you!" Austen grabbed either side of my head and pulled me closer to him. Our lips met for a few seconds until I pushed him back.
"What the heck, Austen?!" I get up, feeling cramp as my legs nearly gave way. Stumbling into the wall, I grab the door handle and pull to try and open. Of course, we were locked in. How did I not think of that?! "You know for a fact I'm pregnant and with Zack! Why did you kiss me?!"
"I know who the father of your baby is." Austen hushed his voice as Zack shuffled slightly on the mattress across the room. Looking back at Austen, I made a motion for him to continue as I continue to tug and pull on the door handle. "You're not going to like what I tell you."
"Why in the heck don't you tell me so I can get the heck out of here?!" I pull on the door handle, only to result in the lock clicking several times. Zack mumbled, rolling over onto his back. He must have been sleep talking. Giving up, I turn to face Austen straight on. "Well, go on then! Who the heck is the father of my kid?!"
"Me." I'm surprised heard him. I can't believe he just said that. Is he really the father of my baby? Oh boy, judging by the seriousness on his face, he's not lying. Oh no. I'm pregnant with the Cerda alpha's grandchild! That means my son, or daughter, is going to be a lone wolf! What the heck do I say now?! "I'm the father of the baby."
"Why?!" Feeling myself flare up, I roll up my sleeves to try and calm myself down. I was still wearing the top from the attack.
"Why what?" Wow, he seems pretty calm. Wait until he has my hands around his neck and see how calm he is then! Letting go of the door handle, I leap onto Austen as he stretches his legs out. "Get off of me!"
"Why the heck did you do it?!" Pushing me off of him, Austen rolled over so I was struggling underneath his large build. After wrestling for a few moments, Austen finally managed to pin my arms up above my head. Glaring at him, I spit in his face. "Why the heck didn't you tell me you made me pregnant?!"
"Because I didn't know!" Austen raised his voice above mine. "I didn't know you was pregnant until Zack told me after I got threw in here!"
"Why the heck did you make me pregnant?!" I spat, wriggling under Austen's grasp.
"Stop saying heck!" Austen got closer to my face. Both of our eyes staring into each others. I awaited for Austen's reply, but nothing came. Still trying to break free, I fail as all I achieved was my hand falling down to my side as my other one got tightened against the wall.
"Austen!" Zack growled, looking over at us with his brown eyes looking very sleepy. "Get away from Kaitlyn now!"
"No!" Austen snarled, grabbing my other hand and pushing it up against my other one. "She attacked me!"
"Kaitlyn?" Zack turned his gaze on me as I squirm. "Why did you attack Austen? What did he do to make you attack him?"
"He..." I get cut off as Austen whispers in my ear.
"Don't you dare tell him!"
"He what?" Zack sat up, leaning against the wall as he watched us with amusement in his eyes. "What did Austen do?"
"He woke me up!" I lied. Even I don't want to tell Zack that Austen is the one who raped me. Fear flashed across Austen's eyes as Zack stood up. Their eyes were locked on one another while Zack took big strides coming towards us.
"Alright man." Zack pushed Austen, causing him to fall down against me. "Get off her before I make you."
"Why should I?" Austen moaned, rubbing my stomach as he finally let go of my hands. "I want to see if the baby is alive. Hey there little one, I'm..."
"Get out of the way!" Zack thrust Austen aside as he came and sat on my lap. His legs were at the sides of mine as he stroked my stomach softly with his bear-sized hands. I giggled as he bent down to peck my stomach lightly. "I hope you're gonna be nice to Kaitlyn when you're born. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me and I don't want you to ruin that for me."
"Are we ready to get out of here?" Austen stood and headed towards the door. I pull my top down as Zack stood up. "I'm not sure about you guys, but I don't want to be stuck here when full moon rises tonight. It's not fair on Kaitlyn if we both wolf out tonight."
"You've already wolfed out once in here." Zack stood by Austen's side as they both looked up at the air vent above. "What's stopping you from wolfing out in here tonight? After all, we've done it in front of her before."
"Yes, but you of all people should know that we can't control ourselves on a full moon!" Austen jumped up and kicked the side of the door. Something clicked before Zack repeated doing the same motion.
"Guys, what are you doing?" I pull myself up using the mattress at the side of me. I watched as they both kept throwing themselves at the door over and over. "You're gonna have to face it. The door won't budge."
"You know, she's right." Zack placed his hands on his knees as he caught his breathe. I didn't realize he had used that much energy just to attempt opening the door. Although, then again, it could be due to the lack of food we were provided while being stuck in here. "I don't understand why there isn't an escape route in here."
"It's because I got out before." Austen looked overpowering as he recalled a memory in the far point of his mind. "They never realized how I managed to get out until they noticed the small crack in the window. All I had to do was break it and I was free."
"So how are we going to get out now?" Zack stood up straight, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked around for some clues. "The only way out is the door and that's not gonna move anytime soon."
"I guess we're gonna have to face it." I stepped closer, hooking my arm in Zack's as I tried to calm him down before he got himself into a big mood over nothing. Wait, this isn't nothing. We're trapped in a room belonging to the Cerda Pack who were the ones that decided to rape me! Whatever the case; "We're trapped and there's nothing we can do about it."
