I woke to the feeling of something damp rubbing against my skin. My eyes moved open, but not for long. Why does my whole body ache in pain? What happened to me? And why do I have a very bad feeling?
"Kaitlyn." I attempt to make a motion to see who had spoke. Definitely female. Who do I know sounds like that? Well, the only one I know is... "Katilyn, it's time."
Time? Time for what? Why am I leaning against a tree trunk in the middle of the dark forest? Oh yeah, I was in labour. Hang on a minute, I was having the child early! Or twins! Was Zack right?!
Eyes snapping open, I see two figures curled up in my arms. Both in wolf form. Raising my eyes from the twins, I see a faint female figure who had the same hazel eyes as me. Her hair was so blonde, you knew it was natural and not dyed.
"Good morning." She smiled sweetly as she sat down in front of me. "Are you better now?"
"Who are you?" I mumble, trying to sit up so as not to wake the sleeping cubs. Well, I assume they are judging by their wheezing.
"I'm Evelyn." Her eyes dropped in disappointment. "I'm your true mother."
"You're my mum?!" I shriek a little too loud as the cubs had opened their eyes to stare up at me.
"Yes, now do you remember yesterday?" Yesterday? Was I seriously asleep for that long?! Wow, better than the weeks or months like before. I can't remember yesterday. Evelyn will have to explain. She continued as I shook my head warily, "You need to go to Alaska."
"Why Alaska?" I inquired.
"You are not safe here." I could tell she was speaking the truth in the way her eyes started to brim with tears. "I will explain properly once you head East. Bring Charlie with you, he knows where to go."
"Why Charlie?" What the heck is she going on about?! I knew Charlie was becoming anxious, but I didn't realize this was an urgent matter! "He's coming." Evelyn's eyes skimmed the area. "Don't ask me any more questions and just go to Alaska!"
Then she was gone.
No where to be seen.
