I was going to get married. Yes, I was going to be the wife of the love of my life and the fact that he was my celebrity crush was just a plus. I loved him as I have never loved anyone.
I’d lie to you if I say I remember what happened after he put the ring on my finger… I just remember both of us were... Happy.
All that I actually could rewind in my head was Nick driving me home again and giving me such a passionate kiss at the outside of Nathalie’s apartment building.
“I love you.” He whispered in my ear while giving me a hug.
“Thank you. Thank you for letting me be part of your life.” I replied.
We kissed and I got into the apartment with a fool smile as the day before. I felt like living a dream instead of dreaming the life—Yeah! Jonas Quote! My fiancé’s quote— as I’ve always done before my Disney trip.
“Had a great dinner?” Nathalie asked when I got into the room.
“YOU! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?!” I accused getting to her with a ‘furious’ look.
“You knew everything and you didn’t tell me a single thing!”
“It was a surprise and I didn’t want to ruin it.”
“You know I don’t like surprises!”
“Yeah, but… I—”
“I thought I was going to throw up!”
“I’m sorry.” My friend said looking at the ground with a little shame. “But I’m sure you’d best cry than throw up.”
I smiled and gave her a hug.
“Thanks to you I didn’t go to that restaurant as a homeless.”
Nathalie began to laugh and Darren came in to the apartment.
“Hello, girls… How are you?” He said with an innocent smile.
“Some help here?” Nathalie asked between my hug.
“I think someone’s really happy.”
“Yes!” I said and gave him a hug too. “I’m sure you know why too.”
“I can’t imagine why.”
“Yeah… Sure.” I turned to my friend again. “You are going to help me with everything! That’s your punishment for lying. I’m going to call Bren.”
I left the room and got to couch to get my phone and called my friend to give her the big news.
She screamed, she couldn’t believe it and seemed really happy for me. She couldn’t stop her excitement, I was sure Adam got his ears hurt.
“Oh my god! Oh my god! I need to get there as soon as possible! I will be one of your bridesmaids, won’t I?”
“Of course. Nathalie is going to help me with everything but I need you here too so you can approve your dress.”
“Yes, of course! I’m taking a plane on the weekend is that okay?”
“Oh my god! You’re so lucky! Damn! Nick! Fuck! You-Him! Ah!”
“Bren… I think you’re more excited than I am.” I giggled.
“It’s just that you two are perfect together and it’s awesome! And… God!”
“Calm down… I gotta go, call you later okay?”
“Okay! I’m leaving this weekend, I promise!”
“Thank you! Haha! Bye.”
I hung up and turned to look up at the couple in the room. The seemed so in love, kissing and tickling each other… I wanted that, I wanted to love someone forever and I wanted to feel loved.
Nick and I would look exactly like them or even better. I was sure we both loved each other and we both wanted to be together.
I got into ‘my room’ and pulled myself between the bed sheets still blushing by the memory of Nick asking me to be with him for the rest of his life.
