People Change and Promises...

It is incredible the way I feel right now. Some people say that good things take time, but really great things happen in the blink of an eye. I can’t believe that this is my life now… You wanna know what I’m talking about? Well… Almost 6 years ago I was in Houston with my family celebrating my birthday, now I’m in L.A. with my favorite musician as a husband thinking about what would be the perfect name for our upcoming baby. How did it happen? Let’s see…

9. “This Romeo is bleeding, but you can’t see his blood. It’s nothing but some feelings…” Always –Bon Jovi

Everything went right when Bren called me and I got into Pizza Planet, all I needed to do was be a cashier because I didn’t know the process of making a pizza, but it was cool for me. I was used to treating people and for those times there weren’t too many visitants around Hollywood Studios.

The restaurant was almost empty because the night was about to end and I was a little tired by then but I forgot everything when they came in.

The blond girl took the table in the corner and the 14 year old followed her.

“Hello! Welcome to Pizza Planet can I get your order?” I asked when he approached to me.

“Hi… Hm… can I get one peperoni pizza please?” he said smiling.

“Sure, anything else?” I tried to smile back… I couldn’t think clearly but I was sure he did think I was stalking him.

“Franklin, I won’t go with you on that ride! I’m tired!” Delta shouted. Nick just sighed.

“Yeah, two diet sodas and a single coke.”

“Nick!” She screamed again, but this time she was approaching to us and left Frankie at the table. “I’m done!”

“Delta, please. He’s just a kid.” Nick turned to face her and hold her hand.

I felt my heart cracking, Nick just seemed too tired of both of them fighting. In one way I felt sorry for him but on the other hand how could he be such a fool to date a girl who can’t stand his family?

“I’m leaving! That’s it, you rather be with your little brother than me!” I heard once again Delta’s voice out loud.

“Don’t do this.” Nick begged. “You know what YOU mean to me.”

“Your stupid brother seems to mean so much more.”

After a few seconds Nick still didn’t answer so she just left the place. He turned around to me once again with a tear stuck in his eye.

“Make it just one diet soda...” He said with a cracking voice. I could see the pain all over his body, he wasn’t exactly shaking but I could see he wasn’t alright.

“Anything else?” I whispered.

“No, thanks.”

“Do you want me to charge it to your room number?”

“Yes, please.” He said looking at the floor. “Would you please take it to my place?”

“Sure. I’ll be there in a minute.” I made the charge and went to the back to take Nick’s pizza. We were about to close so it was the last pizza that was made that night.

I took the sodas and the pizza and got to their table, they weren’t talking. I guess Nick was really upset.

“Here you go… A diet soda, a regular coke and your peperoni pizza. Do you need something else?” I asked with a smile but Nick wasn’t even looking at me.

“Would you like to go out sometime?” Frankie murmured me.

“I’m sorry but I-“

“Frankie, stop it!” Nick interrupted me.

“Why? She’s cute.”

I felt the blush all over my body even when I was sure he wasn’t serious.

“I’m sorry Frankie but I’m so much older than you, plus I’m just another worker on here and I’m not allowed to answer that.” I spitted as quick as my tongue let me.

“How old are you? 20? Hey, that’s just 6 years! Nick is 22 and Delta is near the 30’s!” He was 14 years old but he did know what to say!

“FRANKLIN! SHUT THE F*** UP!” Nick exploded.

“I must go. Have a great night!” I turned around and got to the back of the restaurant like a flash. I didn’t want to make Nick even more upset.

COME ON!!!! I knew he was dating an Australian girl older than him but I didn’t know she was that old… Before this I didn’t even know her name! I couldn’t believe she was the reason for Nick to be so sad.

I cleaned up the counter and when I was about to start with the tables, I noticed Nick and Frankie were gone.

I headed to their table to clean it and I caught up that Nick had left his brown leather jacket over the chair next to the window.

I watched out for anyone who could see me taking the jacket, I was supposed to take all the missing stuff to the ‘Lost & Found’ box but I wanted to give it to him personally.

When I got done all the tables I took all my stuff, put Nick’s clothes on and left to my Disney apartment.

During the way home all I could think about was Jonas… What a strange thing, huh? It hurt me to death remembering those beautiful eyes full of sadness and tears, and his scent over my body didn’t help me to forget a little about it. I knew he really care about her and I realized it after today’s scene.

I was so immersed in my own thoughts that when I got to the apartment I didn’t even notice it was almost midnight and even my roomies where asleep… I dropped everything I was carrying on, took off my shoes and got to the bed holding myself with both arms. Somehow I felt closer to that rock star boy, like he was the one holding me…

My grandma used to tell me that the love you can't have lasts the longest, feels the strongest and hurts the most, she was right. I felt a tear rolling down my cheek, burning all the way down the love I got stuck in my heart through so many years; after all you never stop loving someone, you just learn to live without them.
