23. “Lucky I’m in love with my best friend, lucky I’ve been where I’ve been.” Lucky –Jason Mraz ft. Colbie Caillat
You have no idea how much I wish I was rich or how much I wish I lived in USA. My boyfriend had to leave as soon as his free day was over. Yes, it sounded weird to me too but I got use to say ‘my boyfriend’ pretty quickly...
Well, it took me about a month.
“She’s doing fine... Kev’s the one that freaks out every time she asks for a doughnut” Nick told me with a playful smile on the other side of the webcam.
“I bet he will be the one in the emergency room the day of the birth.” I laughed.
“I don’t have any doubt of it… Have you talked to your Disney friends lately?”
“Well… Bren’s kinda busy, you know.”
“Yeah, pretty much. But I’ve been talking to Nathalie and she’s super. She’s missing Orlando too but she met a guy named Darren as soon as she returned to England, so sometimes she forgets about everything.”
“Do I make you forget about everything?” He said with a flirty smile. I rolled my eyes.
“Nathalie’s guy is REALLY handsome.” I replied.
“How do you know that?”
“Am… She sent me a picture. Wanna see it? They look cute together.” I looked for the picture of Darren and my blonde friend at the Big Ben’s and sent it to Nick. “There you go.”
“That is Darren Criss!” Nick said with his eyes wide open in front of the screen.
“Darren who?” I asked trying to look innocent. I knew who Darren Criss was and I already had talked to him but it was a secret between us… After all he was a superstar too.
“Darren Criss… He’s an actor; he was on How To Succeed in Business before my appearance a few years ago.”
“Have you met him?”
“Yeah, we’re friends, not so close either but he’s a good buddy.”
“I can see that.” I said. Nick gave me a glance and I smiled. “I love you, you know I’m just kidding.”
“Nick! You need to let me talk to your girl, now!” Joe said entering in a rush.
“Why?” Nick asked.
“She’s mine just for a few minutes a week.”
“Please, I really need a girls’ advice.”
“Go ask someone else.”
“Just a second, babe.” I told Nick with a giggle.
“Okay. I’m gonna call Darren, then.” He stood up and let Joe in front of the computer screen.
“Say hi for me.” I laughed.
“Here’s the thing,” Joe rushed his voice “you were right she hasn’t given up on me but she’s afraid of me hurting her again, she doesn’t trust me as she used to… what do I do?”
“Easy, you need to make her trust you.”
“I’ve already told her I’ll never make the same mist-“
“No, Joe” I interrupted him. “I mean you need to show her she can trust you.”
“That’s up to you, but I’d sure love a guy that tells me everything about his life and friends. Of course you need to be there whenever she needs you but you should give her space too.”
“What if that’s not what she expects from me?”
“Trust me, every girl in the world wants what I’m telling you. You must know that she WON’T rush, she will take everything, even your ‘friendship’, all slowly, so be patient.”
“Okay, thank you. Now, I’ll let the lovebirds alone.” He said turning to Nick with squeaky voice.
“Thank you, bro.” Nick said with his arms folded on his chest. Joe left the room with his phone in his hands.
“Do you really think Demi will get back to him?” Nick asked me.
“I’m not sure but I think they were best friends, right? So if you’re in love with your best friend then it means everything will get into place.” He smiled at me and once again I stopped breathing.
“I love you.” He said. “I wish I was right there and place a kiss on those beautiful lips.”
I blushed. He had that strange power of making me feel the most beautiful girl in the world without really trying.
“Am… Nick.” I said clearing my throat. “I have to go to class.”
“I’ll kill Joe for stealing me your time.” The curly guy said with cute pout face.
“I’ll call you at night, okay? Bye.”
“Hey! Wait!” He stopped me from closing my laptop.
“I miss you.”
“I miss you too.” I said before shutting down the chat screen and left the library for my next class.
Next chapters will be kind of childish and illogical. But this is the way I wrote it a few years ago so I'll keep it that way and stay true to it. THANKS FOR READING!
