A week after, the day finally came. Nathalie was freaking out because everything was going fine and she felt like something must be wrong for that to be an excellent night.
“You’re crazy. You should be happy that everything is going well.” Brenda scolded her when she was zipping her dress up.
“Shut up and help me!” She complained. “Are the flowers ready?”
“Yes.” I assured her.
“And the reception room?”
“Clam down, Nathalie!” Brenda screamed. “Seriously, you’re about to get in the church with the man of your dreams to swear you’ll love him for the rest of your life so please… STOP IT! EVERYTHING IS GOOD!”
Nathalie smiled and her.
“I love you, freak girl.”
“It’s time.” Nick said from the other side of the door.
“We’re ready.” I answered.
We took all of our bouquets and hugged Nathalie once more before going out of the bride’s room.
Suddenly, the music began to play and it was our turn to walk down the aisle.
Nick was wearing a black tuxedo with a perfect purple bow tie and an also purple handkerchief on the pocket, just like Joey, Darren’s best friend and best man. They looked extremely handsome but I must say Darren caught my eye for a second; he looked like a god in his tuxedo with a cute white and purple boutonniere.
My boyfriend took me by the arm…
“You look beautiful.” He whispered into my ear and kissed my cheek. I felt comfortable with the purple dress my blond friend picked for me; it was really cute, not too long/not too short and it had a black strip around the waist. The black shoes weren’t exactly heels so I felt really good on them too, but I didn’t think I looked as beautiful as Nick said either.
We got into our places and then the bride started the longest trip of her life.
I just could see Darren’s face full of joy and nervousness, he was trying to breath normally but with the way Nathalie looked that day, any guy would lose their breath for her. She was wearing a beautiful white dress with cute silver embroidery on the top and a lovely purple band around the waist. She defined her curls a little bit and put them on a bonny bun with a few fangs free around her face. Did I ever tell you she really knew about fashion?
I looked back at my friend and sighed. I was sure no camera could ever capture the look in her eyes and the feeling in her heart when she looks at him. She was so happy and lovely and beautiful and cute and… What can I say? I was feeling like a proud mama.
They were both in front of everyone in the room and looking into each other eyes. Saying what would change their lives forever.
“Darren Everett Criss” Nathalie began to say her vows with a shivering voice. “I really wish you will be able to handle every single part of me because today I PROMISE I’ll never leave you alone… I promise I’ll be there whenever you need me and wherever you don’t. You are the best man I’ve ever met, you are my perfect soul mate and I promise I’ll love you forever.”
“Nathalie ” Darren began to tell my friend his love promise. “One day like today about three years ago, was one of the best days of my life because I got the chance to got in a Broadway musical. The year after, in a day like this too…” He was choking on his own words, I thought he would fall to ground because of his nerves. “The show I was on ended. And now it’s getting the most important date in my calendar because I’m here promising to take care and love my best friend forever. I feel really blessed because we’re here tying our lives to become one.”
I could see a little tear rolling down Nathalie’s cheek while they reverend gave them the rings…
