Sooner than I thought I was landing in Orlando, Florida. Such a beautiful state, I must say. And the day I got into Disney was one of the best days of my life…
“This, is gonna be your room while you stay here… You have two other roommates but by now they must be working so...” Said my Disney counselor, Adam. “Hope you enjoy your stay and work with us… I’ll see you tomorrow okay?”
“Okay, thank you.” He waved goodbye and left me there. It was a pretty apartment, with everything in it, even Wi-Fi connection.
I took all my stuff to the closet, other things to the bathroom and when I was done I heard someone opened the door.
“Hey! You must be our new roomie.” She said with a sweet accent in her voice.
“Yeah, I’m Vanya, Nice to meet you.”
“I’m Nathalie, I’m from England. Nice to meet you too.” She gave me a hug. “I can see you’ve already unpacked all your stuff.”
“Yeah, I hope that doesn’t bother you.”
“No way! This is your home now.” She smiled; she was really beautiful, with curly blonde hair and brown eyes.
“I just bought some milk and Brenda must be here in a couple of minutes. Do you want some hot chocolate?”
“Hello!” Someone opened the door once again interrupting me.
“Hey! Brenda this is Vanya, our new roomie.”
“Hi.” I said giving her a hug.
“Nice to meet you! I’m Brenda but you can call me Bren, I’m from Argentina.”
“Nice to meet you too, I’m from Mexico.”
“Oh my god! Finally! Someone to speak Spanish with!”
I laughed; Bren wore glasses, had curly brown hair and was as pretty as doll, she seemed so nice and intelligent too.
Even when all of us had to work the next day, we spent half of the night getting to know each other. We became friends pretty soon; both of them love Jonas Brothers as well, so everything was a little easier for me. Both of them were quite nice and gave me some tips about work. Brenda worked at Pizza Planet at Disney Hollywood Studios and Nathalie was at Epcot, I had to work at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.
After a few weeks I was in love with Disney and my new family. Everything was amazing and I didn’t think it would become any better but…
One day I was finishing the check-in for a family when I heard a boy complaining.
“I thought this trip would be just the two of us!” the 14 year old said, almost screamed. I tried not to pay attention but when I was done with the family they got to me.
“Hello, welcome to All-Star Sports Resort. Can I help you?” I said still looking at my computer but smiling.
“Yes, I made a reservation.”
Please, please, please don’t you dare say he was in front of me! I told myself at the sound of that voice.
“What name, sir?”
I'm finally starting to be okay without you. Don't mess it up now. I begged in my head once again.
