People Change and Promises...

It is incredible the way I feel right now. Some people say that good things take time, but really great things happen in the blink of an eye. I can’t believe that this is my life now… You wanna know what I’m talking about? Well… Almost 6 years ago I was in Houston with my family celebrating my birthday, now I’m in L.A. with my favorite musician as a husband thinking about what would be the perfect name for our upcoming baby. How did it happen? Let’s see…

-He has the right to be happy.

-But I thought he was happy with me.

-He has never been more than your friend.

-Some things he has done showed me different.

-You’ve known his true heart since the very beginning. You should have known he could never love a girl like you.

-I never thought I could actually meet him and be part of his life and it happened so I thought everything was possible.

A rough fight was inside my head the moment I saw their picture. I really thought something would happen between us, even his brothers made me think that. Didn’t he trust me? If I was his best friend then why didn’t he tell me about them being together again?

I tried not to think about Nick, I tried not to talk about him, and I really tried NOT TO TALK TO Nick for a few days but I failed; he texted me everyday and even call me at night; he told me he was excited about the show in Mexico. He told me everything about his new album, their tour and his family but he never mentioned Delta.

I called my friends Brenda and Nathalie so they would tell me what to do but they had different points of view. Brenda told me that I needed to tell him what my feelings were and Nathalie said it wasn’t such a good idea, she recommended me I’d wait for him to tell me about Delta at least until he would get into my country.

I decided to wait, as Nathalie said, because I didn’t have the guts to speak about my feelings. But when I less expected, they arrived to Mexico City…

“That was so cool, guys! Keep rockin’!” I said when the got out of the stage. Yes, I was now back stage with them.

“You liked it?” Joe asked with a grin.

“Yeah! You were amazing!”

“Thank you.” Kevin said and got to hug his beautiful wife, Danielle.

“I thought the forum was gonna explode!” Nick said with excitement.

“I think we’re really passionate people.” I told him with a little smile.

“Would like to get something to eat before leaving?” Nick proposed me.

“Nick,” Danielle said before I could answer. “Remember that we have something important tonight. She could come along.”

“Do you wanna come?”

“It’d be cool.” I said trying to smile.

They got ready for the ‘important thing’ and we headed to a fancy Mexican restaurant. I wasn’t really comfortable because those places were not my thing but somehow the Jonas family made me feel better. Their band was with us too and let me tell you Greg Garbo was always one of my favorites but his wife, Paris, was such a beautiful person that I even drooled when I met her (Nathalie would say “I got my first lesbian celebrity crush”).

They order some typical things like tacos, enchiladas and even Frankie got burritas with guacamole.

“Kev, it’s time.” Danielle said with a huge smile.

“Okay.” He took her hand and looked into her eyes with such joy that I could feel my heart full of happiness too. “First of all thanks to everyone who’s here tonight. We’re so glad to be here with the whole family together again and of course, our best friends.”

“We hope that everyone would love this news as much as we do.” Danielle talked this time.

“We wanted to let you know that… There will be a new member in the family.”

My own mouth, Mrs. Jonas’ and Paris' went down, automatically. Guys seemed to need a clearer statement…

“Oh my gosh! No way!” Denise said with tears in her eyes.

“Yes, we’re going to have a baby.” Dani finally said.

“Congratulations!” I said without thinking. “You’ll be such great parents! Oh my god!”

“You’re so lucky, bro.” Joe continued and the whole family and friends stood up to give them a hug.

I congratulated them with a hug too and then got back to my seat to watch Nick’s grin at the other side of the big table, that grin I loved… It was a special moment. They seemed so happy and everything was so perfect but my heart half broken.
