I was on my way home from Justin's when I got a call. "Hello," I said, it was Maejor Ali. "Aye wanna hang out today?" He asked. It was Saturday, and I didn't have to be at Justin's. "Sure, where at?" "Well, one of my boys is throwing a party at 9 p.m." One of his boys? "Okay then, I'll be ready soon." I hung up. Inside, my mom was asleep on the couch so crept behind her making sure she doesn't wake, it worked, all up to the part when I dropped the keys on the floor. She sprung up. "Lil, your home sweetie, I was worried about you last night." She said, and how much of that did I believe...none. "I spent the night at Justin's." I said going to my room and shutting the door. My mom wasn't actually a bad mother, she's just one of those lazy ones (which worked for me). My room was a mess of empty boxes with a bunch of junk and pictures I attempted to take out, that found themselves either back in the box or on the floor. I went through my closet trying to find a cute party outfit. I decided on a pair of ripped skinny jeans and a black off the shoulder blouse. I took a shower and put on the outfit. It was 6:30 when I was finished. I sat on the couch and waited. I was soo board. My mom was in the kitchen doing something on her computer. My stomach growled, a single egg didn't feel me up. I went to the cabinet and grabbed a bag of Hot Cheetos. "I made dinner last night," Mom said. "Oh, I'm good." I said, mom wasn't really the best cook, but her food was edible. It was only 6:34 and I had finished the whole bag. "We need cable mom," I whined flipping through fuzzy channels. "When we can afford it Lily," She said. I turned the t.v off, it was a tease. "You going somewhere?" Mom asked. "Yeah, I got invited to a party." "By the Ali kid?" Mom asked, she was just so involved. "Yep." Mom shut down her computer, "So is this guy your age?" I really never asked him, but he looked a little older. "I don't know?" I said. "This is just a question, but is he black or white?" I couldn't help but laugh at how stupid that question sounded, we are in the 21st century, that didn't matter. "Black, why?" I asked. "You know black guys seem to be a you know more dangerous, rappers, you know." How did she know he was a rapper? "Sounds like your being racist." I shot."His name is clearly just a stage name, I guessed." WOW. "Okay, so tell me, Justin is a rapper, should I not hang out with him, or clean is house?" I was clearly just doing this to piss my mom off. She didn't answer... she just gave up. At 8:59 there was a knock at the door. I shoved my phone in my pocket, and headed towards the front door, "Bye mom." An all black Cadillac was parked in front of the house. I ran to the car and opened the door. "Hey," I called jumping in. There were blue lights at me feet, I felt so rich. Lolly was playing in the car. "You look nice," He said. "Thanks so do you." He was wearing a black shirt with army cargo pants and a green hat. We were cruising down the street, to areas I haven't even seen before, good areas with huge houses. "I have a surprise for you," He said reaching in the back and picking up a black and white box with a big gold bow on it. "Thanks," I said taking off the bow first. I set it aside and slipped open the box. Inside there were clothes. I pulled out a pair of red, white and blue shorts/underwear with black lace and a black laced crop tank>
Did he seriously think I an going to wear that for this party. "Thanks babe, but I can't wear this to your party?" I said putting it back in the box. "Why, It will look so perfect on you." No, there was no convincing me. "Its too...small." Who even picked out the outfit. "It's perfect." He was getting irritated. I wanted to get out of the car. "Who even picked this out for me?" I asked. "I know a girl." He said. "Going to a party in this will make me look like a prostitute," like the lady the picked out this outfit for me. "No, it looks way better than what your wearing." Did he not jus say I looked great. I didn't want to fight with him. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Put on the outfit," He said. "NO," I replied. Put on the damn outfit!" He yelled. I wanted to cry. I pulled the clothes out of the box and took off my shirt. He kept staring at me, "Could you not?" I asked putting on the shirt. "Not what?" He said still staring at me. "Not stare," I said. It felt really uncomfortable. "No," He said. I slipped off the jeans. His eyes looking back at me, then the road and me again. I took a deep breath and put in the shorts. It was silent. "Happy?" I said placing the box at me feet. "You hair," He said. "What about it." It was in a ponytail. "Take it out." I didn't argue. I untied my ponytail and put the band around my wrist. My phone buzzed in my pants. "Hand it to me," He said. "No," "Give me the phone!" He yelled. I pulled it out of my pants and handed it to him. It was Justin. He answered the phone. I died. "Hey bro...this is Ali...Lily wanted me to answer her phone...she can't talk right now...," I could hear Justin yelling on the other end," Chill bro," Maejor hung up. "What was that about?" I asked. "Nothing." We pulled up to a huge unfamiliar mansion.
