7. The Rest Stop. And More!
When we stopped at the gas station for gas, I think the weirdest thing of our lives happened.
Okay so we pulled in to a gas pump and Rina and I had to pee so we go in and find the restrooms. Well apparently, someone thought it was funny to switch the signs because what we thought was the girls bathroom was the men's and we walked in on two old bikers making out with each other. Like full on tongue-down-throat thing. We just stared at them with the widest mouths ever. They didn't even see us!! We were standing there for a good 5 minutes! Who doesn't see two girls gaping at your make out fest! We finally backed up slowly and went to the girls bathroom next door and purchased some drinks and such and walked out to the car.
"What took you girls so long?" Dad asked
"Um, I'd rather not say. I'm still a bit scarred." I told him whilst trying to hold back a laugh.
"What do you mean? What happened?" He asked again. Finally me and Rina couldn't hold it in any longer and cracked up. We told him and we all spent a couple minutes laughing and back on the road Jennie and Rina were making impressions of them. It was priceless. We got some of them of film too! Then we eventually stopped and just sat silently as Dad played some of his music. We played a little on our phones and skyped a couple other friends and Justin. On account of Jennie and him dating. Why I didn't know this, is beyond me, but their relationship is the cutest I've seen in a while.
We eventually pulled into the hotel's parking lot and we all got out. We headed into the hotel and stopped at the front desk. The manager handed us the keys while Dad signed for the room. We had two rooms total. One for Dad and Jen (Although she'll probably be with us most of the time). And one for me and Calla and Rina and Kylie. We all ran to the elevator and slid inside and collapsed on the floor. We all laughed and Jennie pressed the floor button.
When the elevator opened up to reveal the floor, we gasped and stepped out. It had a little gathering room of its own and the rooms down a long hallway. The only bad thing is that it's a couple floors up from the vending and ice machines. We shrilled and ran to our rooms. We threw our stuff and collapsed on the beds. I sighed in happiness.
"Come on you guys, let's unpack and get down to that fabulous beach I've longed for!" I said, getting up.
We all unpacked but before heading down, the girls stopped when they saw huge suitcases out of the rooms across from us. They turned into my dad's room to ask him if he figured it out and I stayed out and searched to see if the suitcases had tags. They did but I couldn't read what they said because the girls walked out and slid to the elevator. I followed them with giddy.
The beachy smell enveloped me in a wave of happiness. I sniffed loudly. "Ahh. God I love this place!" I yelled. And with that we walked down to the beach.
