9. Wakey, Wakey

After a dreamless sleep, I heard rustling that made my reflexes react. I felt pain still, so I didn't open my eyes... I just tried to ignore whatever it was and go back to sleep. As I fell into sleep I dreamt of people, but it was dark so I couldn't see them, though their voices filled my head.

"Its time to get up, in the morning."

"In the morning."

"Got McDonalds breakfast for you."

"Just for you." A voice echoed.

"Or any other brand.."

"We drove 2 miles just to get it."

"So you better get up and eat it."

"You don't wanna be a selfish lazy girl..."

"So we gotta get up!"

"Time to get up!"

"Its time to get up!"

"It's time to get up."

"Its time to get up!"

"Time to get up...."

"ITS TIME TO GET UP!" A weird accent yelled suddenly.

"ITS TIME!" Two loud voices yelled.

"Its time to get up-"

"Its time too.." They began

"SHH!" Someone else hissed.

"Get up." The previous person finished.

"Its time."

"Doobie doo"

"Waaakee UPPPP.."

"Time to get up! Yay!"

I groaned and stirred, desperate to get the annoying voices out of my head. I swiftly pulled the duvet over my head and tried to curl up, but a pain in my left leg stopped me.

"Jeez..." A voice laughed.

"She's sticking to sleep better than you do, Zayn." Another chucked.

These voices were so fuc- wait a sec! Zayn?!

The events of yesterday flooded my head and caused me to sit up quickly, banging heads with someone in the process.

"Ow, what the hell?!" I burst as my head exploded with pain.

"Oooouch!!!" I heard Louis's high pitches voice squeal.

I layed back and covered my face with my hands, failing due to the bright sun when I tried to open my eyes.

"Ugh...seriously Louis?! Why the hell was your freakin head so close to mine?!" I groaned in frustration.

I opened my eyes just in time to see him jump up from the floor and rub his head with his right hand.

"I'm sorry...ow." Louis muttered his complaining under his breath.

I looked into his guilty eyes and saw his pouting lips and immediately softened.

"Aw, I'm sorry. I'm just tired... I didn't mean to snap at you. I'm so sorry for yelling at you." To me, Louis was like a fun, little, man-child, so I just softened my tone and acted like I was talking to a baby boy. I opened my arms to him and his lips turned up into a smile as he embraced me.

"I'm sorry for waking you up so harshly..." Louis murmured into my shoulder.

"It's okay." I nodded as he pulled and looked at all the others that were crowded around my bed.

"To be fair... It was all Niall's idea!" Louis pointed at the blonde Irish boy and coward onto my bed and next to me. Niall immediately looked scared and frantcially looked around at the others.

"I-I... I-It wasn't me!! Harry asked to go out and get you some breakfast and then Louis thought that we should wake you up the way we wake Zayn up!" Niall stuttered nervously.

"Personally, I hate it...but I was all for getting something to eat." Zayn said as he raised his hands defensively.

"Zayn?!" Niall exclaimed.

"Niall - Niall," I laughed," don't freak out so much. I'm not even mad. To be honest, I think it's sweet that you guys bothered to even think of me." I smiled and saw Niall take a sigh of relief.

"See," Liam smacked Zayn's arm and smirked," I told you that she'd be cool with it."

I saw them all smile and chuckle a little as Zayn wiped his arm where Liam had hit him, as if he was trying to wipe off his touch. I took this as an opportunity to have some fun of my own.

"Oh, no. I only forgave Niall and Louis because they are the cute, little, boys that could never do wrong." I put an arm around Louis and patted the seat next to me for Niall to sit down, which he did without hesitation. When he sat next to me I ruffled his hair and put an arm around him like I did with Louis.

"As for you three," I put on an angry face as I focused on the others individually," you have a whole lot of explaining to do. Everyone knows not to mess with me...and I'm starting to think that you think it's okay to take advantage of me just because I'm crippled." Louis and Niall smiled at me, but their looks changed to smugness when they looked at the other three boys who looked very nervous.

"See," Niall smirked," I told you that she'd be upset if we woke her up." The way he spoke mocked how Liam had acted previously, which caused Louis and I to chuckle.

"I see what you did there." Louis smirked as he high fived Niall over my head.

"Well, I had no part in this," Zayn said as he raised both hands defensively," I was just in it for the food."

"Now you sound like me!" Niall laughed, causing us all to laugh, except Liam and Harry.

"That's why I don't blame you one bit, my dear friend." I smirked and patted a spot on the bed for Zayn to sit. He smiled widely before taking a seat in front of me, considering I had my legs criss-crossed. I quickly smiled back at Zayn before hardening my gaze and looking at Liam and Harry.

"So boys," I crossed my arms," care to explain why you woke me up at..." I looked to Louis and he immediately looked at him watch.

"8:15." Louis responded with a smug smirk on his face.

"8:15." I repeated looking back at the two boys in question.

"Well.... I- um..." Harry stuttered and scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"Liam?" Harry looked to Liam and Liam's eyes widened.

"We- well, I, wanted to wake you up in a fun way and then give you breakfast." Liam said quietly, looking at the floor.

I looked at the boys on the bed, watching as they nodded at Liam and frowned when they looked at Harry. I caught their drift and immediately softened my glare on Liam.

"Your kind gesture is why I'm not mad at you either." I smiled patting the spot next to Zayn. Liam looked at Harry, giving him an 'I'm sorry' look, before coming and sitting next to me.

"Louis... Be the judge and interrogate this criminal." I smirked.

"With pleasure, ma'lady." Louis smiled.

"So... Harold," Louis began with a big smile,"my girlfriend Toni believes that you thought it was acceptable to wake her up early. Please explain why waking her up so rudely seemed so acceptable for the jury." Louis said jury as he gestured to the rest of us. We all laughed to ourselves, but composed ourselves when we looked to Harry for an answer.

"Well?" Zayn pushed.

"Yeah, we haven't got all day, Hazza." Niall smirked.

"Well.... I really thought that- well, I assumed that.... You would want to spend the day with me- us... So I planned this with.... the lads and figured that if we started off on a funny foot.... That'd you'd be in a good mood too. I-I," he raised his hands and let them smack against his thighs," I don't know what else to say." He shrugged as he looked to the floor and shuffled his feet awkwardly.

Seeing him act so unsure and nervous made it so hard to contain my amusement anymore. Along with the other four boys, I bursted out in laughter and fell back against Louis who slung an arm around my shoulder.

"What- Wait! You aren't mad?" Harry asked with a confused look.

"Of course not," I laughed," I had this idea to make you all nervous. I didn't think the boys would catch on, but I hoped that it worked out... As you can see, I think it worked out perfectly." I added the last part with a smug grin.

"You planned this? You wanted to make me look like a fool?" Harry demanded, starting to seem angry.

"C'mon Haz, it was just a harmless prank." Louis pouted, nervously tightening his grip on me.

"That was not funny!" Harry shot back.

"Harry!" Liam scolded.

"Oh, you're gonna get it." Harry said pointing at me.

Normally, I would shrug off any threat, but I was weak and injured; I doubt I could even fight off a five-year-old in the condition I was in. When Harry approached me I shrunk back and snuggled into Louis's side, scared of what he could do.

"Haz..." Zayn warned.

Suddenly, Harry jumped on top of me, thankfully avoiding my injury, and placed his knees on both sides of my waist. Before anyone could react, he started to tickle me and pinch my sides. I was wriggling and laughing uncontrolably, and I could feel my face get hotter and hotter the more he tickled me.

"H-Harry! St-stop!" I managed between fits of laughter

"Appologize for shunning me and siding with the others." He bargained. I was not one to appologize, so I quickly declined.

"Never!" I vowed.

"Well, then. I guess we're both not getting something we want." Harry smirked from his position above me.

"Hazza, I'm sitting right here. Therefore, she has everything that she wants." Louis said confidently, sticking his chin up a little.

With that comment Harry stopped tickling me, thank god, and focused on Louis. His gaze hardened and I saw something flash in his eyes. I chose to ignore it though as eveyone, besides me, bursted with laughter. Once they all calmed down and stopped laughing I reached out for someone, thankfully Louis grabbed my hand and cleared his throat. Everyone looked at him, but he only locked gazes with Harry.

"Hey... Harry," I said, calling his attention," would you mind?"

"Oh," he exclaimed and carefully rolled off of me," I'm sorry."

"It's okay." I waved him off as I tried to sit up.

"Here," Niall put a hand on my back and pushed me up," let me help." I smiled as a thanks once I was sitting up straight.

It was silent for a few moments and I reached up and stretched out all of my sore muscles. As I twisted my neck from one side, and then to the other, I saw Niall cringe every time one of my bones cracked.

"Sorry," I smiled apologetically," it helps me loosen up."

"No, no," Niall smiled back and waved it off," it's okay."

"So, Toni," Zayn began," we grabbed a lot of stuff from your home yesterday."

"Oh, thanks... You guys didn't need to do that."

"No, we insist on making you feel at home." Liam smiled politely.

"Well, as I was saying," Zayn cleared his throat and pointed to a closet that was to my right," we hung all of your clothes in there and placed your delicates the dresser that's inside."

"Thanks," I smiled," really. I can't thank you guys enough for all that you've done."

"Nah," Louis pursed his lips as he layed back," don't mention it."

"What do you wanna do today?" Harry asked.

"Well, I am definitely going to take a shower. After that, I think I'm just going to relax and watch a film, I feel so weak and tired lately."

"Good idea, but don't forget what the doctor said," Liam spoke up," you should eat at least three meals a day and snack a bit in between."

"Hell, I eat double that and still snack 24/7." Niall scoffed, causing us all to chuckle.

"I know, I will," I nodded," but now I need to go clean up so... shoo." I gestured for them to leave and they quickly took the hint and left.

Once they left I slowly turned my body and slid out of bed, putting most of my weight on my right leg. I carefully walked to the quite large, walk-in closet, and picked out a pair of baggy, grey sweatpants, and a tight white tank top. I followed Zayn's instructions when searching for my underwear and quickly walked to the bathroom, which was conveniently connected to my room.

After about 20 minutes of letting the warm water rinse and relax me, I shut off the shower and got out slowly. I grabbed a towel that was slung over a hanger and used it to dry off. After drying up, I slipped on my matching black lace underwear and got dressed. I had to admit, it was nice to finally take my time and dress comfortably. Once I cleaned up after myself I left the bathroom and worked up the strength and courage to walk out of my room and towards the kitchen. When I walked in I only saw Louis seated at the island.

"Hello, love." He smiled as I limped over and sat down.

"Hey...where are the others?" I asked, curious to find an empty and quite house.

"Management called us down to the recording studio, but I volunteered to stay behind and keep an eye in you." Louis explained.

"Oh," I nodded understandingly," well, thank you for staying with me."

"It's not a problem." He smiled brightly before getting up and walking to a cabinet across from the island.

"I'm going to make myself a bowl of cereal, would you like some?" Louis offered as he grabbed a bowl.

"Um...that'd be nice, actually- if you don't mind." I said quickly.

"Not at all, love." He smiled quickly before grabbing another bowl and fetching some cereal to fill them with.

When Louis came back he held up a box of Apple Jacks.

"Is this cool?" He asked.

"Of course, I love Apple Jacks." I beamed.

"Good, me too."

After Louis made our breakfast, we moved back into my room to watch a film. I was still really tired so the second Louis helped me onto the bed, I layed back and closed my eyes.

"So, what movie do you want to watch, love?" Louis asked.

I opened my eyes and slowly lifted my head up to see him looking in a cabinet that was under the telly. I didn't really watch many films, not even as a child, so I didn't have any ideas.

"I've never really had the opportunity to watch many films, so why don't you chose?" I suggested.

"That's fine...but I must ask, are you a fan of musicals?" Louis asked as he grabbed a film from the cabinet.

"I told you, I've never had the opportunity so...I'm not sure." I shrugged

"Well, my favorite movie is Grease, so that's what I've chosen." He replied with a smirk.

"What's it about?" I asked as he started the movie and came to sit next to me.

"You're just gonna have to wait and see."

"Alrighty then." I sighed, sitting up against the headboard for support.

During the movie we both laughed during the funny parts, Louis cried a bit during some weird dramatic scenes, and he found it fun to sing along with the actors and actresses at the end. Despite the fact that he and the others were in a band, the voice he used to sing along was quite high and annoying, if I do say so myself; though it made me laugh when he started to jump up and down on the bed and dance. When the end credits came scrolling up on the telly, Louis jumped back and collapsed down on the bed beside me.

"Was that the best movie, or what?" Louis smiled widely.

"It was alright." I chuckled.

"Alright?!?! That's the best movie since Titanic!" Louis burst as he sat up quickly.

"Titanic was a three hour long film based on the tragedy that actually happened in April of 1912. This," I gestured toward the telly," is a musical film based on a made up story featuring a quite young, John Travolta and Olivia Newton John." I retorted.

"Whatever," he shrugged," I love this movie as much as, if not more than, Liam loves Toy Story."

I chuckled at his choice of words and shook my head as he narrowed his eyes at me.

"Well, I did have fun watching it with you... I don't think I've ever heard someone with a 'singing' voice quite like yours." I made air quotes at the word singing.

"Many people happen to like my singing voice, thank you very much." Louis smiled smugly as he crossed him arms over his chest and stuck his chin out.

I laughed at him and gave him a playfully nudge. He acted as if I pushed him quite hard and fell onto his back.

"So, what would you like to do now?" Louis asked as he used his arm to hold his head up.

"Well," I reached over to the nightstand and grabbed my phone, checking the time," it's 12:06 now... We can do whatever you want to."

"Are you still tired?" He asked as I yawned.

"A little," I shrugged.

"When are the boys coming back?" I asked.

"Well, we usually take about four to six hours...but considering you're hear I'm sure that they'll come home a bit sooner." Louis replied with a smile.

I attempted to shift a little so I could sit up, but I moved my leg by accident and cried out in pain. Louis immediately helped me sit up and moved my leg so I would be comfortable.

"Are you okay?" He asked, worry and concern lacing his voice.

I shook my head and looked down at my leg, sighing at how incapable I really was.

"Do you have some kind of aspirin that I could take?" I asked, looking back up and into Louis' blue-green eyes.

"Actually," Louis paused to slide down from the bed and onto the floor," the doctor prescribed something for you. He left us a note when we picked it up for you last night. It's meant to help dull the pain, but it'll make you drowsy."

I nodded as he explained and smiled lightly.

"Anything is fine with me at this point." I sighed.

Louis shook his head and chuckled as he made his way towards the door.

"I'm just going to get you a glass of water, and those pills." Louis announced before leaving the room.

"Thanks." I mumbled as I layed down.

When Louis came back my head was buried into my pillow and all I heard was the muffled sound of his chuckle. I lifted my head up a little to look at him, but my eyes didn't want to open all the way.

"Someone's sleepy." Louis laughed as he handed me a glass of water and two blue pills.

"Thanks." I said before throwing the pills into my mouth and taking a swig of water.

The minute after I took the pills the drowsiness took over my body. I couldn't even muster the strength to lift my head and I found comfort in curling into a little ball. Louis chuckled as he covered me with the duvet and shut the lights down.

" 'Night love." Louis whispered before kissing my forehead.

Just as he was about to leave I reached my hand out to him.

"Louis?" I muttered quietly with my eyes closed.

"Yeah babe?" He responded quickly.

"Will you stay with me?" I asked tiredly.

"Of course." He chucked.

Only a few seconds later I felt the bed dip and Louis arm suddenly drape around my waist as he made himself comfortable behind me.

"Ok, now get some sleep."

"Goodnight Lou." I said incoherently.

"Sleep well beautiful." I heard his sweet voice just before sleep took over. Knowing he was here for me made me feel a lot better.
