"Who's this?" One of the boys asked, but I barely noticed. I was staring at Niall, and he was staring at me. I swear, his eyes were about to pop out of his head.
"Oh, this is--"
"Clover." Niall interrupted Harry.
"Niall." I replied. A small tear slipped from my right eye. Damn. I wiped it with my sleeve. The other four boys looked at us curiously.
"I never thought I'd see you again." He said to me.
"Is that what you wanted?" I asked, horrified.
"No!" He exclaimed. "Clover, I've missed you! It's been so long, and I--"
"Shut up. You chose a music career over me." I thought I'd have been happy to see Niall, but the truth is, I wasn't.
"Thanks for giving me a lift, Harry. But you can take me to my apartment now."
"No, I'll take her." Niall shoved through the boys and led me outside. "Clover, can we just talk about this?"
"No, actually, we can't Niall! Because we both know what happened!"
"I know what happened. I left to try out for the X-Factor, and that's all to it."
"No, you didn't just leave! You promised you'd never leave me! You said you'd always love me! After you were gone, I had no one! No one. My mom was dead, my dad had disappeared years ago after becoming an alcoholic! For three years. Three. Fucking. Years. I was alone. All alone! You never called, you never wrote, you never did anything to try and see me again! But worst of all, you lied to me." I hissed the last part. "You said you'd always love me, but you never really did." I shoved past him. "Harry's taking me my apartment, because I don't want to spent another minute with you."
