Always. It's a strong word. It can mean a lot, like how it meant to me when Niall told me he'd always love me. It can be a word that means nothing, like how it meant to Niall when he said he'd always love me. And then the next day, he left Mullingar and never came back. And I was alone. Always.

10. Homesick Already

"Well, I should probably get back to the lads." Niall said, rising from the couch. I nodded in agreement.

I kissed him goodbye, and he put his hood on, hiding every strand on blonde hair. He put on his sunglasses, and I let him borrow a plain black scarf to hide his face. "There. They'll never suspect a thing. Okay, well, bye." I said and he waved before shutting the door behind him. The sun was already starting to set, so I went outside on my balcony.

The view wasn't the same as it was back home.

And it was different to sit in a chair than to lie on your back in a soft wheat patch.

And I couldn't hear the birds chirping, only city sounds.

Nor could I smell the musty dirt, just exhaust from engines.

I had been gone a day, and already missed home, so I told myself to focus on the positive. Here's what I came up with:

1. Niall
2. Nessa
3. No dad

That's it.
