It was Friday and I only had one more class till I could escape this hell hole. My last class was math. I didn't hate math I actually liked. I'm pretty good with math and enjoyed it while everyone else was dreading just to get into the class room. My math teacher was actually nice and pretty funny. I walked in and sat in my normal sit, in the back away from everyone and so Mrs. Ellis won't call on me. I don't really like participating in class that much.
I got out my green math journal and text book, waiting for Mrs. Ellis to start the lesson. She wasn't in the class right now so I got out my phone and started to play 'Let Love Bleed Red' by Sleeping With Sirens. I was quietly humming the song when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see Mrs. Ellis standing there with a disapproving look on her face. I quickly pulled off my head phones to hear what punishment I was going to get. She didn't say anything the only thing she did do was put a piece of paper scribbled with some writing on it. I looked at it more closely and it said detention.
I sunk back in my seat and rubbed my eyes thinking how I was supposed to tell my mum this. I sat back up and started to copy the notes from the bored when I felt my phone buzz. I looked up and my eyes locked with Emma. She motioned to my phone. I unlocked it and read the text.
Emma: How are you going to tell your mum you got a detention?
Me: I don't know yet I probably won't have any time before she starts to yell in my face. Stop texting me before I get another one!
The bell rang and I gathered my stuff and bolted out the door. I almost made it to the door but I remembered I had detention. Shit! I started to walk back towards Mr. Miller’s class room. I looked down at my tattered converse scuffing the hallways but I don't really give a fuck right now. Right when I looked up my face slammed into an opened locker door. I fell backwards and landed on my bum.
"Fuck!" I cursed under my breath.
"Oh I'm sorry! Here let me help you up,” I looked up and I met two blue eyes.
“It’s fine….” I realized I didn’t know her name.
“Perrie, hey you look familiar. Aren’t you-“I cut her off.
“Yes I am Delilah Evans, the daughter of David and Kathleen Evans,” I said rather dully.
“Whoa, it must me cool to be a princess.”
“Yeah not really, now if you wouldn’t mind I have to get to detention,” I walked around her and walked in to Mr. Miller’s classroom only to find no one there. The lights where even off. Yeah I get to go home. I walked out of the classroom and towards the front doors of the school.
I walked out and towards my car. I threw my stuff in the back and hopped in the front seat. I pulled out of the school parking lot and started to drive home.
I was waiting at a stop light when my attention was averted to a guy crossing the road. He was wearing black jeans, a rolling stone t shirt, and white converse. He wasn’t bad looking he was actually hot. He had brown curly hair that was pushed off his head and to be honest it looked kind of stupid. His head turned towards me and he had the most beautiful forest green eyes I had ever seen. He shot a wink in my direction and my cheeks almost immediately felt warm. I looked in my lap then back at him.
He had a smirk on his face as if he could tell the affect he was having on me. He was off the road and the light turned green, so I sped off.
I got out of my car and started to walk up the steps to my house. I took a deep breath before opening up the door. I kicked off my shoes and walked into the kitchen. I looked around and no one was there. I walked over to the refrigerator and got out some grapes. As I turned around I noticed a not sitting on the table. I walked over to it and read it.
Your mother and I are out and won’t be back till late tonight so don’t have any one over and lock the door.
I sighed and grabbed my grapes and went up to my room.
I pulled out my homework from my book and started with math. Half way through I remembered that guy earlier today. There was something like I had seen him before but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Then it hit me. He was the guy from my dream!! What the actual fuck? That can’t be it, it can’t be. There is no way that the guy crossing the street was the same guy from my dream. Or maybe it could be? I decided to let it go and watch TV down stairs.
I turned on the TV and turned to MTV. I started to watch Ridiculousness but started to doze off, the next thing I knew I heard a door slam and feet shuffling across the floor. I jolted up to find my mum standing in front of the TV with her hands on her hips. I looked at the clock on the wall and noticed it said 11:00.
“Hey mum. How was dinner or whatever you guys did?” I said sleepily.
She ignored my question and started to talk about something else. "Well I got an interesting call from your principle today. He said that you got a detention for having your phone out during school and that you skipped detention?” She said while raising an eyebrow.
“Well when I got to Mr. Miller’s class room no one was there so I went home.”
“So you didn’t even bother to go to the principal’s office to tell him that? Or you didn’t even bother to stay and wait?” Her voice was starting to rise but I kept mine at a reasonable tone. She was starting to get mad and that’s not a good thing.
"Mum I'm sorry I just suspected that he left so I didn't stay."
"I don't care your grounded for a month that means no phone, TV, IPad, laptop, or no car. That also means you will go to school and you will come home that's it," she said sternly.
"No buts go up to your room."
"No," I said. It was a brave move but I was tired of her bossing me around and telling me what to do 24/7.
"You heard me. I said no. I am tired of you always telling me what to do and how to do and I'm getting sick of it so you can't tell me what to do," I said standing up and my voice raising slightly.
"Delilah Genevieve Evans you will do as I say and go to your room now or else."
I smirked. "Or else what?" I challenged her.
"Or else you can leave this house and never come back again," she said. She knew that I would say no and I will go up to my room. But not this time.
"Gladly," my words shocked her as I walked up to my room and stared to through random clothes in my bag. I came back down stairs to find my mum still standing there, shocked at what I had said. I was about to reach the door when my dad stepped in front of me.
"Delilah, don't do this."
"Why so she can keep bossing me around? No I'm leaving." And with that I walked out in to the cool night air.
So what do you think is gonna happen next? So I will be updating every Saturday or Sunday from now on.
