2. Skipping School
I woke to my brother yanking my covers off me. "Get up," he mumbled. I rub my eyes and peer up at him. His hair was in a wet mop and was drying it with a towel. "What?" I groaned. "Do you want me to take you to school or not?" He asked. "I'll just take my skateboard." I rubbed eyes. "Okay. Well, hurry up. School starts in thirty minutes." I roll out of bed and finally made it to my closet. I pulled out my large Marvel sweater and pulled it on along with a pair of black skinny jeans. I let my thick hair down my back as usual and a beanie over it.
I arrived to school and skated down the hall to my locker. "Carter!" Yelled coach Tanner. "Sorry coach T." I picked up the board and stood in front of him. "Listen, Carter." I know you're in a hurry but-" "I know I know. Skating in the halls during school hours." Coach cracked a little smile. "All right. Now go put the board in my office and get to your first hour." He pat my back as I laid the board against the wall in his office.
Of course the hours went by slow, and then it was lunch. I didn't eat; I just sat in a booth with earbuds in and legs tucked under me. I couldn't help but feel someone's eyes on me. I peered up from my phone to see Niall and his group of sluts. The sluts were drooling over him, yet he stared with an awful smirk on his face at me. I rolled my eyes and shook it off and went back to watching YouTube on my phone. "Hey, emo!" A girl called. I looked up to see the slut of all sluts. Sky Reynolds. She stood with a hand on her hip. "What do you want?" I growled. "Nothing. Just something you need." She threw a bag of vegetables at me. "Maybe you should eat these, you fatass." I cocked an eyebrow at her. "Bitch, you're too easy to insult." I answer. I looked back down at my phone and hear her give a frustrated grunt and her heels click away. I smirked to myself. "Wow. Someone's getting a bit brave." I hear that voice I Hate. I groan and lay the phone on the booth table. I look at Niall who's now sitting at my table. "C'mon, Carter." I put on a sarcastic smile and reply, "wow, Niall Horan knows my name." I pretended to swoon when he gave off a soft chuckle. "C'mon, babe. Don't be that way." "How about you stay out of my way?" I snap and stand up and start towards Coach Tanner's office. I pick up my board and start down the little alley behind the school. I get home and walk into the flat. "Aren't you supposed to be at school?" Dylan called from the recliner. "Shut the hell up." I mumble and stomp up to my bedroom. I sit on my bed listening to my chemical romance and rubbing the scars on my wrists, thinking. I stare down the bathroom and stand up. I open up the door and lock myself in.
