Halfway into the movie, Brooke and Harry were already talking and Louis and I were the only ones watching the movie. A scary part came up and I let out a small yell, covering my eyes with my hands. I don't care if I've watched this a million times. It still gets me. I heard Louis chuckle as he put an arm around me.
"Don't worry, love. It's OK." I uncovered my eyes and looked at him.
"Really? Next time you have a ghost in this house, tell me if it's OK!" He chuckled.
"Les, we're going to go upstairs to Harry's room, alright?" Brooke asked. I nodded my head. As they walked upstairs, I finally realized what 'upstairs to Harry's room' meant.
"Make sure to wear protection!" I yelled. I heard them laugh.
"Come on, we should probably go somewhere else." I told Louis as I looked for my phone.
"Why?" He asked, getting up and putting his shoes on.
"Let's just say that tonight, everyone in Doncaster will learn Harry's name. I do not want to be traumatized." I heard a soft moan and my eyes widened.
"LA, LA, LA, LOUIS AND LESLIE ARE DOWNSTAIRS, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA." I said a bit louder as I kept looking for my shoes who decided to just run off into space. I heard another moan, only louder this time.
"LA, LA, LA, DON'T FORGET, THE WALLS ARE NOT SOUND PROOF, LA, LA, LA, LA." Louis looked for my shoes with me, trying to find my shoes as soon as possible so we could get out of here. I heard a small thud.
"LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, SHUT UP AND KEEP IT DOWN, BEEP, BOOP, LA, LA." Brooke was not one to do this on the first date, but I knew she would since they're both major flirts and seem to really like each other. I heard another thud. I finally found my shoes and put them on while writing a quick note to Brooke and Harry, all while Louis was singing as loud as he could.
Dearest Brooke and Curly,
Couldn't keep it down, could you? Don't you know that there are children in this house? Such as me. I really do not want to be traumatized right now. There goes my innocence. Louis and I left to who knows where. As long as we're gone from the horrid noises. Thank you. Hopefully, Harry used protection. I will not help take care of the little brat.
With Deep Regret,
I put the note on the floor in front of Harry's door and pulled Louis out of the horrid house of nightmares. As soon as we left, Louis sighed.
"Finally." He said with relief.
"I will never be able to sleep again. How could Brooke destroy my innocence?" He laughed.
"So where now?" I asked.
"How about we take a walk in the woods?" He asked, pointing to it. I shook my head.
"What's the worse that can happen?" I looked at him with an 'are you serious' face.
"We could be in the woods, taking a leisurely stroll, when, BAM! The giant guardian elephants of Unicornlandia cook us into chocolate chip cookies." He laughed.
"Well, then, we could just take a walk." I nodded my head as we walked. We walked and talked for a bit before I saw a lake. I squealed and ran to it, taking my shoes, top, and shirt off as I ran. By the time I reached the lake, I was in my panties and bra. I jumped into the cold water and instantly felt refreshed. I swam for a couple minutes before two strong arms wrapped around my waist and spinned me around. I let out a laugh.
"Louis, put me down!" I squealed.
'I want to spend the rest of my life in his arms. Wait- what? Quite your jibber jabber, Leslie! You know better!' He put me down after a few minutes of laughing and we just looked at each other. Soon, he started leaning in again.
"Catch me." I sang, swimming away from him. He laughed and went under water, only to appear behind me and spin me around, instantly crashing our lips. It was weird. The sparks were still there. I thought I might've been over it by now. When he pulled away, we rested our foreheads together.
"Leslie, be mine?" He asked after a few seconds. I pulled away, feeling guilty.
"I- I can't." I whispered. He looked at me as I watched the water.
"Oh..." He trailed off. A big ball of guilt filled my stomach.
"Louis, it's just... it's complicated."
"Do you want to talk about it?" The sweet guy still wanted to be there for me even after I rejected him. I sighed and told him the story. The story about how I can't trust, can't love, can't live, just can't. I was full on sobbing as I finished my story. He sighed and pulled me into a hug, comforting me.
"Leslie, you can trust me. I would never ever do anything like that to you. Ever." I looked up at him and saw a single tear rolling down his cheek.
"I love you way too much for that." That's when the answer came to me. The answer I've been longing to hear. I love him. Tim was right. I love Louis. I should've known. Tim was the only person who could prove me wrong. I held out my pinky. If I was going to do this, I was going to do it right.
"Pinky promise?" I asked. He smiled and hooked his pinky with mine.
"I pinky promise." I looked at him.
"If you break a pinky promise, then your pinky breaks off and never grows back." I was dead serious about this. He chuckled.
"I still pinky promise." I smiled.
"Then, I love you, too." He had the biggest smile I've ever seen and we kissed. It was amazing, just like every other kiss we had.
"So I'll take that as a yes?" I giggled and nodded.
"Yes. I'll be yours." He smiled. We got out of the lake and lied down on the grass, looking up at the stars, cuddling. Soon, I fell into a deep, dark, beautiful slumber. The last thing I remember is Louis kissing my forehead.
