I walk in the door, put my keys on the rack, and set my bag down by the table. Like I always do when I get home from school and work.

"Andy, come here please," I hear my dad say from the living room.

"Yeah dad?" I ask.

"I have some things to tell you, and you may need to sit down," he says.

"Umm, sure, okay," I say as I sit down on the couch, "What is it?"

"I should have told you this earlier," he starts, "You have a twin brother named Quil. He lives in La Push with your mother, and we are moving back there, because your mother and I are getting remarried."

"Wait, what? So you're meaning to say that I have family that you never told me about?" I ask.

"Yes, and you are 100% Quileute, or Native American. That's why you don't look like anyone else you know," he says.

"I got that, but we're moving?" I ask.

"Yes, you should start packing. We are leaving tomorrow, because it only takes three hours to get there," he says.

"And you're just now dropping the bomb?" I say.

"I'm sorry," he says.

"Save it!" I say before stomping up to my room. He at least had the decency to put boxes in here.

I start with my pictures, and things that I've collected over the years. I have pictures of me and my friends, my dad and I. I even have an old picture of just my mom.

I've always wanted to meet her. When I'm sad, I always look at that picture, and wonder what her hugs feel like. Her kisses on my forehead. I wonder what her voice sounds like. What she would say in the situation that I was in. I just sat and wondered, now I'm going to be able to officially meet her, and call her mom.

Once I was done with the little things, I closed the box, and labeled it. I started putting my clothes in a box, when a knock sounded at my door.

"Yes dad?" I ask when I open the door.

"I'm sorry for dropping this on you so late. I really should have told you earlier. You know I wouldn't be doing this if it weren't for the best," he says.

"I know dad," I say as I wrap my arms around his waist and give him a hug.

"I love you," he mumbles into my hair, and kisses my head.

"Love you too dad," I mumble into his chest.

I've always been daddy's little princess. Probably only because he's the only parent I have as of right now.

"Are you hungry?" he asks, "I can order takeout."

"Sure, how about that Thai place down on Fifth?" I ask.

"Pin Kaow?" he asks, knowing the exact place I was talking about.

"That's the one!" I say.

"Should I even ask what you want?" he asks as he pulls his phone out of his pocket.

"Sweet and sour chicken with stir fried rice and a spring roll," I recite my usual order.

We had moved to the living room by now.

"Should've known," he says. I laugh.

He places his order and hangs up, then says, "I'm headed out, want me to grab a six pack of root beer?"

"Sure, movie night?" I ask.

"You can pick the movie," he says before he walks out the door with keys in hand.

I walk over to our wall of movies. I decide on Mean Girls. I stick the DVD into the DVD player, and turn the TV on. I skip to the main menu, and head back upstairs, to keep packing.

I pull my suitcase out from underneath my bed, and put in the clothes that didn't fit in the boxes. I keep my laptop, charger, and case out, because I know I will go on it later. I pack the rest of my room into boxes, and label them with my name.

"I'm come with food and drink!" I hear dad say when he gets home.

"Coming!" I say.

I change into a pair of sweats and a tee shirt, and throw my hair into a messy bun. I slide my fuzzy zebra slipper boots on. I grab my favorite fuzzy zebra blanket off of my bed, and head downstairs.

"Your food ma'am," dad says when I get to the kitchen.

"Thank you sir!" I say. I grab a fork from the silverware drawer, and a soda, and follow dad to the living room. I set my food on the coffee table, and grab the remote.

"Mean Girls? Again?" he asks.

"Yup! One if the last things we'll do as a duo, have movie nights!" I say. I press play on the movie and switch the remote for my food, and watch.

**After the movie**

"And how many times have you watched that movie?" dad asks me from the living room.

"Too many times to count!" I say from the kitchen.

I put the dishes in the dishwasher and press start. Then Input the soda in the fridge, and walk back into the living room.

"What if they don't like me," I say as I sit down next to dad.

"What if who doesn't like you?" dad asks as he wraps his arms around me.

"Quil and mom," I say.

"They'll love you," he says.

"You sure?" I ask.

"Positive! Now head to bed kiddo, need your beauty sleep! I don't need my beautiful daughter turning into Shrek overnight!" he says.

"Hah! Thanks dad! Feeling the love!" I say with sarcasm dripping from every word.

"Good night," he says before retiring to his room.

"Night," I say before turning off all the lights, and heading to my room.
