Gosh, Violet looked stunning when she walked out in that red dress.
I pick up the phone before the third ring. You don't want to keep Slenderman waiting. “Slender. Sup? Why? Okay, Bye.”
“What did he want?” Violet asked me.
“He wanted you to get a nice dress for tonight. We will be going out for dinner to celebrate a new proxy.”
“Why do we need to celebrate? I’m no one special.”
“Exactly what I was thinking. He never celebrated the other proxies.”
“Well that’s weird.”
We got back to the house and went to get ready. I put on my nice black pants, that I never wear, and a red shirt with a black skinny tie. I hope Violet wears the red dress tonight.
We got back, and I went straight to my room to get ready for tonight. I'm gonna wear my new red dress. I hope this makes Jeff happy, because I don’t want him to hate me as long as I live here. I don’t like him, but I also don’t hate him. I’m glad he said to get the red one because I was going to get it anyway. I just asked him to be nice.
I started to get ready by curling my hair. It looks cool with the purple curls. Next, I apply just a little mascara and lip gloss. Time for the dress. I’m not one for dresses, even if I do look gorgeous in them. I slipped it on with ease and grabbed my heels to put on. It’s been awhile since I dressed this nice. It almost feels good.
After I get my heels on I grab my new clutch. I grabbed it when Jeff wasn’t looking. Loser. It was at the check-out counter and it was too gorgeous to pass up. I stick my phone and knife in it. Just in case someone tries something funny. I decided I was ready, so I went downstairs. I was halfway down the stairs when I heard a wolf whistle.
“Vi? Whoa! It is Violet. Who are you trying to impress?” I blushed pink at Ben. “I think this is the first we've seen you in something besides pair of jeans.”
“I’m not trying to impress anyone. Jeff picked the dress, and I don’t wear skirts and dresses often.”
Slender came out before Ben could reply and Jeff explain about picking the dress. “Is everyone ready?” Without waiting for a reply, he teleported us to some fancy restaurant.
After we were seated, I realized I was stuck in between Toby and Hoodie. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Hoodie just ate his food quietly, as did I. Toby talked to Ben the whole time, so I didn’t have to really talk. There were a few random questions asked about me from Slender. After the awkward dinner, Slender teleported us back to the mansion.
I walked up to my room, and before I was in, I heard Toby and Ben talking.
“Violet looked so pretty tonight. I was so happy to sit next to her. I just had to talk to you so I wouldn’t stare at her.”
“Yeah, but you are forgetting Jeff. I think he likes her, but it’s hard to tell.”
I ignore them, and enter my room. Just thinking of Toby liking me...let’s not go there. He’s just a friend, and don’t get me started on Jeff. He is selfish, conceited, and he almost killed me! Though he did look kinda nice tonight.
As I get ready for bed, I can’t help thinking on this. I quickly put on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, and hop in bed. It was kind of late, maybe I can wake up early in the morning, If I set an alarm. Nah! I’ll just see if I wake up early tomorrow. As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn’t help but wonder. What makes me so special?
