Ever since that moment in the kitchen with Zayn, there hasn't been any big corruption. They both took a day from seeing each other, but soon hung out again on Saturday afternoon, as Zayn had planned a few nights ago.
"Hey, Ev." Zayn said to her, adding a smile.
"Hi, Zayn." She smiled in return, buckling her self in.
Zayn was very nervous on the inside. He didn't want his friends to make a bad impression. He drove off, and made a left.
It was a silent car ride. Nobody talked, or looked at one another. Evie-Mae had took a long glance out the window. She watched the mixture of trees and houses blend together as Zayn drove to their destination.
They reached a complex of town homes, and turned into the little roadway. He found a parking space, and slid into it. He soon parked, turning off the car. Evie-Mae slowly took off her seatbelt, while Zayn slammed the car door and jogged over to her side.
He gently opened the door, holding out his hand to pull Evie-Mae out. She smiled as he helped her onto her feet. He smiled in return, slamming the car door shut.
Zayn was really nervous at this point, but he didn't want her to know. He held out his hand, and soon felt the grasp of a smaller one combine with his. They slowly walked down the path of the complex doors, making their way towards the last door on the left. They stepped onto the porch, and Evie-Mae pressed the bell.
From the inside, footsteps can be heard shuffling towards the door. It soon opened, Andy's face showing through the crack. A smile lightened up his face, as he took notice of Zayn and his lovely lady out on his porch.
The three greeted each other, and soon came inside. Andy shut the door, and they walked up the small steps onto the carpeted floor. Andy's daughter, Thalia, was sprawled out on the carpet. Her Barbie dolls mixed up with little accessories.
Thalia soon took notice of her father's guest, and ran up to Zayn. He lifted her up, spinning her around. She giggled, her laughter filling the room.
"Hi, Uncle Zayn." she giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Hi, Thalia." he smiled in return, pressing his lips onto her forehead.
He soon set her down, and introduced her to Evie-Mae. The four year-old's big brown eyes filled with wonder as she peered up at the lady in front of her.
"Hi, sweetie." Evie-Mae said.
"You're beautiful." Thalia said in response, giggling as she continued to look up at her.
"Thank you, you are too." Evie-Mae returned the favor, smiling as she looked up at Zayn.
She and Zayn followed Andy towards the dining room, sitting on the chairs that were neatly pushed in. Evie-Mae slipped off her jacket, and pushed her purse over to the side of the table.
Zayn and Andy talked, Evie-Mae listening to their conversation. It was a bore, but she did not want to look rude.
A little finger tapped her elbow, and was followed by an arm. Evie-Mae found who it belonged to, and that was Thalia.
"Can you play with me?" The small girl asked.
Evie-Mae smiled, and nodded her head. The young child led her over to the living room, and sat down by her pile of toys.
She handed Evie-Mae a doll with blonde hair, and blue eyes. It was dressed with a purple shirt, denim jeans, and black shoes. Evie-Mae admired the doll, and soon sat leg-crossed on the carpet.
"She looks just like you. I'm gonna call her Mae, after you." Thalia smiled, causing Evie-Mae to blush.
"Oh, that's nice. What's your doll's name?" Evie-Mae responded, pointing at the brunette-headed doll.
"This is Hannah. Sometimes, I call her Hannah Banana. It's really funny." The young girl giggled.
Evie-Mae chuckled, "That's a silly name!"
Andy offered Zayn a beer, but he politely declined. He wasn't going to drink in front of the young child, or his lady friend. He peered over at Evie-Mae and Thalia, and watched as they played dolls.
Zayn admired the blonde beauty entertaining the young child. She was very good with kids, and it amazed him at how calm she was. Her face lit up, glowing bright like a candle in a dark room.
Evie-Mae caught Zayn staring at her, and it made her blush. She shyly smiled, and looked away. It turned Zayn on. She was so beautiful, and she doesn't even try.
The doorbell rang again, and Thalia ran to go open it. Andy ran after her, lifting her up on his shoulder as he peeked through the peephole.
Zayn's fellow friends, Danny and Sam, had arrived. They came with their "girlfriends", or pets as you can call them.
Zayn mentally smacked himself. He specifically told Danny and Sam that he didn't want those girls around Evie-Mae. What makes it even worse is that Thalia, the young child, was there. These "women" will influence her in the wrong way if she even bothers to listen to them.
"Thalia, why don't you take your toys upstairs to your room, and show Evie-Mae your room, as well." Andy, her father, then suggested.
Evie-Mae nodded at Thalia, and helped her pick up her toys. They disappeared up the stairs, Evie-Mae following behind Thalia.
Zayn's tension had slightly went away. He sighed in relief, and greeted the new guests that arrived. After greeting his friends, Zayn excused himself and went to the bathroom.
He jogged upstairs, and stood by the door that was slightly ajar. He listened as Thalia explained why her room had pink and purple stripes, and how the other two walls were white. He could hear Evie-Mae reply with short grunts of understanding.
"This is my doll house, and here is the doll's car." Thalia said, removing a small toy from her doll house.
Zayn gently pushed the door open, and the girls' heads turned towards him. He waved and joined Evie-Mae on the bed.
"Did I interrupt anything?" Zayn asked.
"No, I do want to have a tea party, though." Thalia replied, taking out a small basket from her toy chest.
"Okay, would you like me to join you girls?" Zayn asked, sitting on the floor next to the Evie-Mae, who had followed his action.
"Sure. I'm going to go boil the tea." Thalia answered, walking over to her mini-kitchen set.
Once she finished, they all sat in a circle on the carpet, and acted like posh tea drinkers. It was all fun and games, until it was time for Thalia to go home with her mother, who had came to pick her up.
Now, it was the moment Zayn was not ready for. How was he going to explain to her that he was in a gang? How was he going to explain to her that he has seen unruly and disgusting things.
Then, he finally decided that he was simply not ready for it, just yet.
Evie-Mae was a distance away from Zayn on the couch she had been sharing with him and Andy. She nervously with her fingers as everyone sat in a conversation of inappropriate jokes and stories. Danny had been staring her down for a while, and she started to get very uncomfortable.
Zayn finally took notice, and pulled her closer to him. He protectively wrapped an arm around her, and sent a glare over to Danny, who returned a smirk in return.
"I'm going to use the restroom, I'll be back." Evie-Mae excused herself.
Zayn had volunteered, "I'll show her where it is."
He followed her up the stairs, and reached for her hand. He had pulled her back. He pushed her against the wall, and pressed his lips against hers.
This was all new to her, but she liked it. She wrapped his arms around hers, and continued to kiss him. He lowered his hands onto her waist, and never let go of her.
Zayn pulled away, resting his forehead onto hers. Their lips were just centimeters away from each other's. His eyes scanned her face, and never turned away.
"You're mine, nobody else's. Okay?" Zayn whispered.
"Okay." Her voice was very audible.
"I want to take you home." Zayn smirked, then pressed his lips under her earlobe.
"O-Okay." Her voice shook mercilessly.
He pressed his lips against hers one last time, and then pulled away. He took ahold of her hand, and led her down the stairs. When they reached the bottom, everyone's heads had turned.
"What're you guys up to?" Andy asked, a small grin playing on his lips.
"Oh, we're gonna head home. Evie-Mae has some schoolwork to finish up, and she has work tomorrow." Zayn lied.
"Oh, well, it was nice meeting you, Evie-Mae." Danny stood up, walking over to her.
Danny leaned in, pressing a kiss to her cheek. He pulled away, smirking at Zayn, who was extremely annoyed. Sam got up, approaching her, and shaking her hand. They smiled, and then pulled away. Andy did the same, and lead them to the door.
With their stuff gathered in their arms, Evie-Mae and Zayn walked to his car. When they reached the car, Zayn opened the door for her. He helped her in, and shut the door. He went to his side, and hopped in.
He put the key in the ignition, and the engine roared to life. He looked over at Evie-Mae, who was already looking at him. He leaned in, pressing his lips towards hers, and smiled in between.
"You're so beautiful." He whispered, and that made her blush.
She was truly beautiful, and she felt it when she was around Zayn.
