6. Date Night
Nash pulled up right in front of the woods at the local park. I looked around a little confused. Nash said we were having a picnic, not going hiking! Nash must have seen the confusion on my face because he answered my thoughts.
"It's a little bit of a walk to our picnic spot, but I think you'll love it."
I slowly exited the car and waited for Nash to lead the way. It was beautiful right now but I know the sun would begin to set shortly. Nash led me through the forest and- after I had tripped on 3 tree roots- had boldly grabbed my hand to guide me better.
After 5 more minutes of walking we entered a clearing. It was a meadow with Daisies and tulips and other flowers all around. In the middle of the field was a blanket with a large blossom tree next to it. Nothing could be more beautiful than the breathtaking scene in front of me.
Nash and I stood in that meadow for hours. We talked, snacked, and watched the sun set. I learned about his travels for MAGCON, the crazy things he has seen, and even about the crazy boys he takes videos with.
We talked about all of our favorite things, dislikes, and random facts. It was a fun and relaxing day and I was happy it was with him.
We arrived home around 9:30. We walked inside and headed our separate ways, into our rooms. A smile never left my face even as I laid down on my bed. Nash Grier, I think I might just like you.
