10. Chapter 9
So I went on that date with Leo. I wore a Jacquard Dress that was black with grayish flowers. He took me out to lunch right after he finished his jobs at home. We told my aunt that we were a going out. I knew she was happy for us through her smile as we walked out.
We walked to the garage and he opened the door for me and I thanked him. "So, where are we going?" I asked impatient. "It's a surprise." He said with his eyes on the road. "Ugh! I hate surprises I said throwing myself back in the seat. He chucked.
When we got there I was surprised at how fancy the restaurant was. "Wow." I whispered. Leo just looked at me. We walked up to a guy who I was guessing was the host. "Reservation for Leo Hunter." He said. "Right this way." The host took us to our table but not after winking at me and dropping his cellphone number in my purse. That's wasn't weird. And I could tell Leo was getting jealous.
After that happened, a waitress came and took our order. By this time no one flirted with no one. We looked over our menus. "What will it be." The waitress smiled. "I will have the steak." Leo said putting his menu down. "And what will the lady have." She said scribbling the orders." "I-." I got cut off by Leo. "She will have the same." Leo ordered for me. The waiters smiled and walked away. "Um I could've ordered for myself." I said crossing my arms. "But I was just trying to be a gentleman." Leo said playing with his fingers. "Next time just let me order." I said slouching down. That was awkward. I felt kinda bad now because I could tell he felt embarrassed. We quietly ate our food. When we were done Leo paid and we left.
"Do yo wanna take a walk?" Leo asked as we walked out. "Sure." It was silent for a while. "Am sorry about what happened at the restaurant." Leo said blushing. Aww he looked cute. "It's fine." We walked a couple blocks until we were completely lost. "Shouldn't we be heading back?" I asked stopping." "Yeah I think it's this way." He said pointing one direction. "No am pretty sure it's this way." I said pointing the other way. "Alright let's go your way." We both said at the same time. We laughed and looked down.
We found our way back to the car and drove home. We talked and laughed and had a pretty great time. I can't wait to go on another date with him. It's getting pretty late. Time to hit the hay.
